Explain how so my fresh faced friend? (IF you’re honestly new here and not just a new avatar. Welcome) Groups of adults have as much potential to get out of hand when left unchecked as a rabid pack of 2 year olds. More so. Most of them know how to say more words than a 2 year old.
Comprehension is a different story though. Lol

Oh srry yea comprehension has something to do with my post. I, like many, see words as words and could never imagine a text chat on the internet “getting out of hand”. Words and sentences don’t bother me, thank god.

The whole pushing somebody over the edge argument is false as well as ive experienced this state of mind first hand and know for a fact that it’s the things you cant escape from in life that have you staring over that edge. Theres nothing an internet troll can do to sway that state of mind, you’ve already decided it for yourself.

Some of the nicest players I ever met were 13-18. Some of the most obnoxious players I ever met were 30+. Age has little to nothing to do with whether someone is incapable of following simple rules and requires external moderation.

(And, yes, I get it. There’s some screwy idea that if only 18+ play they can call the game Mature and let everyone be foul and abusive because “we’re all adults”. No thanks, not the game I want to play. I like adults who behave like real adults, not ones who think being an adult is no longer having to go to bed when they’re told.)

If you think a 30 year old, who was 16 when Vanilla launched, is suddenly more mature and an adult just because of their age… You will be in for a horrible time on the internet. There is a strong chance that said 30 year old will act the same as they did when 16 because they can hide behind their monitor. The internet isn’t a place where people learn how to mature as a person.

LOL, might not work the way you hope. Some of us will still make reports about choice words that are in violation of the user agreement. Less reports = faster action when you fail to “tiptoe” and abide by the rules.

People think kids wont play the 18+ games. ive entered an odd version of reality. Maybe yall are just old turds but on the real, kids dont look at maturity rating, my intentions are solely what i stated. nothing more; An ease on the player base and staff.

So let me get this straight. You suggested 18+ to ease the report spam for immature behavior, then later in your own thread say that just because it’s an 18+ barrier to entry it won’t matter because people will just lie and say they are 18 to get in?

So what’s the point behind this thread then?
