Last xpac, Blizzard made classes really matter.
There were storylines you could only do if you were a specific class. Items and pets and mounts and toys you could only get if you were a specific class. Those amazing class order halls.
It actually made me dust off my alts, make some new ones, and play through all the class order hall storylines, and I had an absolute blast doing so. Most fun I can remember having in WoW.
Now, with BfA, where’s the class specific stuff? I’ve not found anything class specific that’s given me the desire to dust off my alts and play them again. It’s just the same story content regardless of class. Even the war campaign is the same for every class (and, speaking of which, why can’t we skip the war campaign on alts if we’ve done it on our main, Blizz?!)
The only reason I’m even considering levelling my alts is for the different professions.
No class specific content is the reason why all my friends that I played through Legion with have quit the game in BfA.
Come on, Blizzard, make classes matter again! Give us that amazing class specific content like we had in Legion!

For some reason I doubt that. But yes, class stuff was cool. But Blizzard has a problem where they refuse to expand on ideas and content that works. They gotta reinvent the wheel, ya know.

What makes you think the current lazy arrogant dev team would do any real work?

It was neat having class specific quests, lore and all that in legion. Than blizzard abandoned that and brought this horrible necklace concept that was a tragedy at the start and slightly less tragedy and now can only assume 8.2 will fix it. I want classes to feel like classes not this randomized blend we got now.
I miss my Priest specific stuff
It really does feel like Legion was supposed to come after BFA, but the mixed up the release order.

If you think classes don’t matter you haven’t been watching the MDI. Bring the player, not the class.
Class specific quests were some of my favorite. I would go so far as to ask that they return the quests for the warlock and paladin mounts, the shaman totems, and any other’s that I have forgotten.

played WoW from day one and for 9 years I loved it till Cataclysm and then I had to go. Remember kill quests, kill 30 of something only to have to kill another 30 of the almost same beast the next level up! LOL!!! I returned to Wow for Legion, I LOVED Legion and yet the Stun-lock rogues were dismantled, I loved a new hunter and now play a lock. The professions seem endless with no “end”, I like to play solo and the guilds really run the show- would love to see a path for solo players that would afford them great gear too. Have been kicked from dungeons “just before” the last boss drops by guildies- yah, I got nothing for 30 minutes of killing, not dying, and yet I was last kicked for having my pet on. PROBLEM with that is WoW now and has been for some time now been automatically turning off growl when a Hunter enters the dungeon so pretty much told me I was ninjaed by a guild just needing a pug to fill in and get them to the prize.
Classes do not seem to hold any real status in the game, at least not in BFA. I miss all that but then I miss my lvl 80 stunlock rogue of 9 years past. I love my LOCK tho now,…, would be nice to have a few moving casts and a better instant heal, I mean you look at the priests, druids and Pally- GEEEEEZ WHO’d want to be a Lock! LOL!!! (I do, I do) Just with my feet in concrete and almost any other class literally running circles around me as I loose my channeling Chaos,…, well I’m great for raids and dungeons, but PvP, I like to cheat but the rogue is a shadow compared to it’s past glory days when I could control a Pally in perpetual stuns! (I get orgasms thinking about when I with a few other Stunlock Rogues would go out and just harass same level Pallies and Warriors, LOL!!! Never really beat them,… but when bored, throw that last stun and fade away into the mist, them knowing they could not kill me/us either! Not today.
But maybe WoW will develop solo type player avenues to get the kick gear. I am not anti-social,…, just OLD and love to play just always have that 3rd world country stigma as a solo player. I kind of miss the 40 man raids but even then, the politics of who got the gear drops was maddening so I have no real answer other than the romantic memories that made me want to play WoW in the first place so many years ago.
I agree blizz needs to overhaul classes to make them feel great again. I’m tired of the throw away systems that make you feel weak and even more so after the next expansion comes and you lose them

I just wish they would’ve kept the class order halls and expanded on them for BfA by adding new class specific quests with special rewards like class specific items, mounts, pets, toys, etc.
I want to be able to look forward to playing my alts again, not just have it be rehashing the same war campaign over and over.
Except all those features were finished within the first few months. The class hall only lasted a few months. The Artifact Weapon only lasted a few months. Legion was the class fantasy expansion. But most of the content only lasted a few months.
class specific stuff is awesome. Legion has been the only expansion to really dive into it.
It also unfortunately can look like a lack of content if you only play a few classes (or 1).
With the new follower and class mount quest chains the broken shore had nearly 200 quests launched with it yet it felt very short because almost all of them were divided between 12 classes.
