This is NOT an alliance favorability idea, though it is definitely going to be perceived as one. But, please make BGs worth it for the team that has put in the effort to win. Reward 15 conquest for the losing team that exceeds certain threshold, while the winning team gets 60 conquest.
I am not suggesting that the losing team gets conquest irrespective of their effort. As mentioned above, it needs to meet a certain competitive threshold: 2 flags to 3 in WSG, 1k resources to 1.5k in AB, 200 to 0 resources in AV, and so on and so forth.
The threshold aspect will ensure that ppl just dont afk and get conquest points, while also encourages people to participate in BGs.
Again, this is not an alliance-biased idea, because horde will get the same rewards should they lose in a close match.

If you lose you lose, there is no gray area. Losers get experience, winners get the reward.

No, it certainly isn’t. It’s a “participation trophy” thread.
You want a reward for BGs? Win it. Losers go home with zilch. That’s the incentive to win – the reward at the end of the fight.
I don’t think it’s a bad idea but I feel like the losing team’s rewards should be percentage based.
For instance, if you’re in AB and you lose a game 1000 to 1500 then you should get the percentage of the winning team’s score. So, 1000/1500= .666 (repeating) = 66.7% so the losing team should get 66.7% of the honor. Significant figures within the percentages could be decided by Blizzard.
In any case, this would provide the losing team with a fair earning of their effort. I know that when I lose a close game, it doesn’t really feel like a loss but I get gimped on the rewards which offer a similar reward to a game if we didn’t even try.

Perhaps you could try to organize differently such that you could win the next time? This used to be the way things were back when people learned from their losses, but now even the losers must have some type of prize. Methinks I’m going to live off the land somewhere rural, since our society is about to collapse just like the Roman empire did in the late 5th century.

Except real life isn’t fair, no matter how many artificial changes some socialist progressive inserts into activities.
It isn’t really about having some sort of prize, it’s about being rewarded for your efforts.
Personally, it’s not a big deal to me which is why I didn’t create this thread but it would solve the issue of going into a BG and seeing the dreaded, “Just let them win, gg” written by some sore loser.
I think if the losing team got rewarded for their efforts, they would feel encouraged to keep up the fight, despite it being a losing battle.

How about this Alliance create a lvl 20 Toon go to Anduin turn in Quest to be a Baby and get 100 levels instantly next they join a BG and lose getting 500 Conquest and a Super crate filled with 14 pieces of 400 gear. Then they will cry they still do not get enough so Blizz will give them all of the Hordes mounts rideable also…

The reward for completing is winning, and this has always been the way until recently. Try harder, and learn not to repeat the mistakes that allowed you to lose, and then you can experience the rewards for the efforts that you’ve put in. What’s next? Lets reward all of the people who don’t like to work, but want to live in nice houses, and drive nice cars by confiscating those that have more just because it’s not fair?

This is a good idea. Back in Burning Crusade (Remember, when everyone said the game was great and hardcore) you got the two resources you needed even when you lost- 1 battleground mark and a little honor. You got 3 marks and about 4x as much honor if you won. It made it not feel like a complete waste of time to grind bg’s, even if losing was much slower.
I enjoy everyone in here acting tough, its cute. OP has a good idea that’s based in historical precedent and I think it should be another one of the thousands of changes that BFA needs.
Also significant AP for winning bg’s? Preach is right, content you like should reward what you need so long as you choose to play and contribute to the community at large.
This is the worst idea ever you alliance already have 50% of your teams honor farming by running into walls to avoid the AFK… See 30% honor buff does nothing but bring the worst people out to farm and do nothing… which is why Horde dominates.
