An’she is the Earthmother’s right eye and twin of Mu’sha. The Skyfather is a second deity on the level of the Earthmother who is supposed to take care of the tauren’s dead alongside her after they are cremated.
Which, of course, we also now know is wrong now that we know how the Shadowlands works.
Explain to me though…why at the expense of the night elves the Tauren myth must/should be correct? You say it yourself, the “main deities” are the Skyfather and the Earthmother. To make this plot possible, you would make both of this main deitys higher beings compared to mu’sha /An’She, because theyr are only their “Eyes”. And Elune would be one of this beings…you know.
Doesn’t have to. I never advocated for anything you’ve mentioned. My initial post merely was in favor of making An’she an actual, real thing so that the tauren have at least one thing in their religion that isn’t wrong.
The Earthmother will probably be Azeroth, so that will remain - I think - correct.
I have nothing against An’She being something real, only it should not be at the expense of Elune’s uniqueness. An’She should be able to stand on his own two feet, in literary terms
Do I need to go through it all again? I did above, this exact question has been asked before, and I answered with the suggestions of what An’She has done and what he stands for, worked with what this thread suggests and that would take many themes from Elune to say the least.
Nothing Baal or anyone else has suggested takes away from what Elune is. And besides, blizzard already did that when they added two Elune worshippers/one being a Night Warrior from Fyzandi(that’s the name of their planet) in Ardenweald.
And what does that take away from Elune? Nothing, because they believe in Elune. If you think its about night elves right now, you´re wrong, is about elune.
mirror …of night warrior blessing, but not on one person, bot to an entire race.
mirror of night elf myths…
litteraly the moon is a elune thing…
litteraly: "Make An’She to the “blacksmith of creation”. Everything is him, and elune is this soft …flow being. Oh yeah, take away the connection to the element water and spirit from elune, take away her connection to the light, i mean, she´s most likely the creator of all naarus.
Fel, okay, point taken, fel would be a unique aspect of An’She right now.
All of this no other being has done before, none, all these different things that Elune did, no one else did, that’s what I mean by uniqueness, a few are even forced on.
And that would be diminished by that.
Of all the suggestions: The only unique thing would be the Fel, and it would be boring to base An’She on that alone. Yeah, it would take away unique aspects of elune to an’She, to make this plot possible. And now you will immediately say: So what? And I’ll say, if it were the Worgen, you wouldn’t be a fan of it either.
And then your response comes, so I’ll cut it short and say: you don’t have to like it, but these are real concerns about the story, because blizz is not good at writing…stories right now.
I propose to introduce the dead An’She. Possibly killed by Elune. NE fantasy not broken (?), Upstart goddess from Xal’Atat, tauren were right about something.
You’re really stretching, and it reeks of your utter desperation to keep the Night Elves the most special of special snowflakes of WoW, because the NE have a real god, no one else is allowed to.
I definitely feel like Apollo would be the best comparison for Belore, just because the blood elves have this whole cultural identity of “sophistication, wealth, and magic,” and Apollo was also the god of music and art.
So there could be this whole thing about Belore (or the Belore incarnation of An’she, whichever) being this “Spirit of the Sunwell” armed with golden harp making all Quel’Thalas prettier/more artistic.
Which gives us the excuse we need to finally get Quel’Thalas graphically-updated!
