Make An'she/Belore A Thing

Which is honestly why I wish Blizzard would just make up their damn minds about what Elune is already.

Same. As much as I like the mystique of her and dislike the idea of everything in the cosmos fitting in a tight little box of pre-defined concepts Elune’s ambiguity certainly causes a lot of unnecessary arguments here.

See my earlier post about this isn’t being about the envious child but about others being greedy brats :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, it’s both. It isn’t a one or the other situation.

It’s really only one person, and that’s Zair arguing that though.

Added Obatala, Sekhmet, and Amaterasu

surprisingly can’t find a good hathor artwork I vibe with

Frankly, I agree with Zair in that the proposed story is remarkably similar to Elune’s the the point it comes off as a carbon copy.

For as much as Horde posters love to rail on about how much Varian is copy of Thrall, I’d think you would like to not repeat that.

I’m all for fleshing out An’she but make him more unique.

In this case, it kind of is—there’s really nothing wrong with having World of Warcraft be a polytheistic world, which it technically is already given the Titan Pantheon.

But you see, no one’s saying YOU can’t have YOUR toys and No one is saying that WoW shouldn’t be polytheistic.

Firstly, in what universe is Varian a copy of Thrall? They are completely different personalities and story roles. The only similarity I can think of is the slave/gladiator bit.

Secondly… Not really. Their only similarities so far would be the obvious parallels in their roles as opposite beings. Sun vs Moon, which is an incredibly common mythological motif. Beyond that they are, quite literally, night and day.

And if you think him merely being a First One is enough to rob Elune of her uniqueness you best buckle up, because if/when Elune is revealed to be a First One there will be others on her level. They’re called the First Ones. As in plural.

Svarog is the Slavic god of fire, the Sun, and blacksmithing. Though he’s a very ancient god and a lot of his motif was absorbed into Perun, the storm god and Thor/Zeus parallel. Perun himself is more of a storm god with only minor fire associations, but he is a warrior god associated with eagles who opposes a god of magic and the underworld.

Weird how all the Horde posters disagree with you, and only Alliane posters (and even then, not all) are agreeing with you.

“Ah but you see, if there’s a SUN first one that is involved with Azeroth and makes certain followers more powerful and is the implied creator of various beings, that’s just like elune! Because the sun and the moon are related to eachother!”

Added, just found amazing artwork

OMG… You’re honestly going to sit there and say that this isn’t complained about ANYTHING Varian is brought up?

They’re literally portrayed as having the same mirrored story beats.

NO ONE ever suggested any such thing. Stop strawmaning.

So far, only one Horde Poster has disagreed with me and no Alliance has agreed with me so… your observation is meaningless?

Hey Kisin, can you stop replying to Faelia since she and Zahir love to antagonize and derail my threads with nonsequitors  thanks

Sure. It is just adding to the derail anyway.

Áine (Irish pronunciation: [ˈaːnʲə]) is an Irish goddess of summer, wealth and sovereignty. She is associated with midsummer and the sun,[1] and is sometimes represented by a red mare.[1] She is the daughter of Egobail,[2] the sister of Aillen and/or Fennen, and is claimed as an ancestor by multiple Irish families. As the goddess of love and fertility, she has command over crops and animals and is also associated with agriculture.[2]

Thought I add this one to the possible lists.

Only in your mind is Honest Criticism “derailing.”

/s Because no one is EVER allowed to question the mighty Baal, who’s ALWAYS right about everything he says and his words are truth and law /s

The Dagda (Irish: An Dagda) is an important god in Irish mythology. One of the Tuatha DĂŠ Danann, the Dagda is portrayed as a father-figure, king, and druid.[1][2][3] He is associated with fertility, agriculture, manliness and strength, as well as magic, druidry and wisdom.[1][2][4][5] He can control life and death, the weather and crops, as well as time and the seasons.

He is often described as a large bearded man or giant[4] wearing a hooded cloak.[6] He owns a magic staff, club, or mace (the lorg mór or lorg anfaid) which kills with one end and brings to life with the other, a cauldron (the coire ansic) which never runs empty, and a magic harp (uaithne) which can control men’s emotions and change the seasons. He is said to dwell in Brú na Bóinne (Newgrange). Other places associated with or named after him include Uisneach, Grianan of Aileach, and Lough Neagh. The Dagda is said to be husband of the Morrígan and lover of Boann.[4] His children include Aengus, Brigit, Bodb Derg, Cermait, Aed, and Midir.[1]

Even though he is one of the Irish Creator Gods(and one I happen to believe in), I feel he would be a excellent fit for Horde druids
