PSA: You’re not playing for free, time is money friend.

Time is money…but in this case you are actually saving money by playing a game for free.
What other payed leisure activity has a method for you to be able to do it for free?
im running 30 alts and still have another 30 that are a few levels from 60.
They are 30 reknown with there covs. At this point all ido is log in do the rare ( 250 anima) and 3 pet battles per toon ( depending on the zone the calling is for) or cherry pick 20 second ( flight school- The race) type quests.
And send them on mission XP mostly till max they are all 30-40 level followers focusing on leveling rather then the gold for now
Didnt say it couldn’t be done just saying investing the time might not pay off.
This whole expac is just another WOD but more tedious more gates and more time consuming. If blizzard sees the pattern a * Garrison GOLD * nerf might come.
uh…wut lmao?
I never changed my position guy.
Unfortunately if I did that, it would be literally all I had time to do…
It’s WoD but with M+.
Which is perfection in my opinion. I’ve said all along an expansion designed like WoD but with M+ would be amazing.
Now all Shadowlands needs is some top-tier raids and it can possibly be the best expansion of all time.
You don’t buy thinks with money, you buy things with pieces of your life you gained the money from.
With that in mind, I am not doing boring crap when I am not working.
It depends, if you’re in USA, yes. If you’re in a country whose dollar is worth more in your currency, it’s not so bad, but not so good either.
For me it’s easier to do something that’d take me an hour with three toons (even less) and it’s something I’d do anyway, so I basically just buy my sub by playing the game without really getting out of my way to farm anything.
I liked WOD better. honestly. Too much Blatant in your face we are just wasting your time.
p.s. The love for WOD i have been seeing on the forums lately makes me wonder if there is a larger calling for players who enjoy solo play ( garrison)
my sub costs 7,5$ per month (less for 6 months) thanks to regional prices
Mine costs 3 electricity bills. per month.
I mean, my electricity bills are not as expensive, but still.
Yeah there are tons of way to make gold. I will just coast off of my maxed out Blizzard balance for a while though.
And here I just do callings for the paragon chests because I demand the mounts and toys.
Every token purchased with gold helps encourage more people to buy $20 tokens. Oh yeah…they’re totally gonna put a stop to that.
As far as gold farming goes I’ve realized callings are pretty lucrative for this, but I’m not gonna subject myself to managing 3 alts and doing all the callings like that. Even if you do the callings once every 3 days and you get them all done in an hour that’s 10 hours a month (at least) to pay yourself $15 and I’m gonna assume getting 9 callings done in an hour is pretty unreasonable if not unreliably doable. Quite simply…I have better things to do.
Edit: also I can farm at least 20k an hour right now if not 30k depending on prices. Probably will go down over time but if I was gonna farm for free playtime I’d do it that way anyways. Could probably cut the needed time to get a token in half.
Also also if you raid on heroic or mythic and your guild isn’t taking your BoEs for funds or to give to raiders who need them you can net at least half a token if not several by getting a BoE. Totally luck based but if you consistently raid and can find a BoE once a month you’re pretty golden.
Yeah I’d rather just raid log and pay.
Hell imagine 50 characters doing all callings every week for 1 month!
Yeah, I didn’t even go into the value of the paragon boxes because that only complicates the math.
But 4K addition gold every for every 6 calling per covenant is also a great gold booster.
Not to mention all the toys, mounts and pets.
While I get that working 1-2 hours will be enough to pay for a $15 sub, and that is less “time” than grinding up gold in wow, making the comparison in the first place is specious at best.
No employer is going to give someone a work schedule for only 1-2 hours per month. I suppose anecdotally it is possible, but highly unlikely. They’re going to want at least a part time commitment, and at that point you are no longer “just working 1-2 hours” to pay for wow.
Personally I would rather play wow sitting in my underwear at home than pick up extra work at an hourly job just so I can say I use my time more “efficiently”
This.
Seriously, this is all for $15 per month.
That’s ~two hours worth of real life work once a month, compared to dumping 3-4 hours per day into the most boring chores WoW has to offer to achieve the same thing.
