Majority of Silvermoon is Horde-exclusive and alliance is Kill-on-sight

Lead Game Designer Maria Hamilton came to the rescue and set the final nail to the coffin:

Because it’s a hub city, there’s a small section of Silvermoon that’s been set aside as a sanctuary area where Horde and Alliance share that space, but the majority of the city is Horde, and Alliance is kill-on-sight as you’d expect.

And for people who want to see it, they can make a character on the other side and walk around it or fly over it. All it did was get a glow up. There’s no special area or secrets of any sort that didn’t exist previously except for maybe the barbershop And some of the amenities vendors. That’s it. Otherwise the alliance has access to every other zone in the blood elf territory without ever being flagged for PVP. And they even get a small corner of the city. Not sure why everybody’s freaking out because there’s nothing really to see. We are all gonna be busy out doing things.

You are being trolled. She was not serious

I think this is great personally because it reinforces that Silvermoon City is still a Horde capital city and that Alliance are just unwelcome guests in Horde territory.

Just had to make your own thread, huh? Couldn’t pick one of the other ones?

Lmao

Imagine being so deep in the copium you think she got on stage at the deep dive dev panel just to lie to the audience :joy:

And you just had to come here and say it, too? About the topic itself not a single word, right?

Anyway, the other thread was fake news and actually mocking horde players. I just set the record straight.

At Gamescom, too! On the Developer Panel.

Meanwhile Undermine’s solution for gnomes in the goblin city. :world_map::robot:

And then later holly said something different
We’ve had 3 answers and none of them match
We’ve got to wait to find out on this

I hope the Alliance area is tiny. That means all the useful amenities will be close together. Why would I want to fly all over some ugly Horde town?

I think this is stupid because if it’s supposed to be the hub city for the expansion and the Alliance is there to HELP Silvermoon, which would otherwise fall, why would they be kill-on-sight?

It is in Eastern Kingdoms, just take a portal to stormwind bro.

Because it’s still a Horde capital city and in every other faction city you get attacked by guards if you are the opposing faction, this isn’t new.

Are you referring to the “few” comment or was there something new

What about Gilneas and the new world tree in Dragonflight? This is stupid.

I’m not even hung up on the idea that it’s Silvermoon, I just think it’s stupid to choose that as the main hub for the expansion for both factions. Either have them separate or actually make an actual hub for both factions.

Those aren’t actual capital cities those are small hubs we went to for questlines and basically no one outside of maybe RPers goes to either after they finish said questlines.

Dead place, not a city at all, not compared.

Barely anything at all as well.

Just like the Isle of Quel’Danas and the Sunwell raid and Magister’s terrace, you can get there too. Did I mention Orgrimmar in SoO?

Few districs being horde and the rest neutral was ion in the xbox interview
Then theres the majority horde op linked
Then there was the ign interview where holly called it a singular horde protected area and described it as “some of it at least”
