Majority of dps players are bad at what they do

There are exceptions to this, but for the most part dps are bad are only outputting graciously 40% of there dps potential. the question is what is the cause ? is because there bad " dont understand roation / or is there to many buttons in every specs rotation that hinders them from being able to produce sub par dps ?

I do not play dps. Paladins dont really have a dps spec. so… it is what it is.

I assume you’re judging off of parses? Because uh… I have news for you. Not all specs can 100% parse every time. There is a lot of RNG involved, even without accounting for differences in statistics, how parses are actually populated, and buffs you may be getting.

The exception here, reporting in.

A majority of DPS players are bad because a majority of players play DPS. Tanking and healing generally require more skill, as opposed to DPS, which is more accessible to literally everyone.

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. I don’t know about healing but tanking is literally the easiest role to play in the game, haha!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Because people aren’t playing the game to impress you.

I would say mechanically tanking is the easiest, but the difficulty in tanking isnt in it’s mechanical difficulty

Speaking for myself here. Some builds/ abilities i just dont like. Some dont fit thematically to what i imagine the class as. Some i just simply dont enjoy using mechanically. Therefore i choose to play sub optimal builds (numerically) but in turn have alot more fun in the game. I could care less about being a top parser.

I’d say it’s the easiest to play, but still hard to master. Not saying that’s exclusive to tanks, though.

Tanking requires you to at least know a route or strategy. DPS just hit stuff and sometimes move out of bad stuff.

No it doesn’t. I’ve got a potato for a brain and I can still tank.

i agree with the tanking part its why i do it.

but if you just look at meters in mythics / parses doest matter its like a majority are just bad.

im not that great my parses for the most part in the 80s avg. but most dps players are always lacking. thats where you want to find out why there all so below just say a 50% avg for there dps potential

Hello, I see you replied to my post. I’m not sure if you play a whole lot but there isn’t a lot to know when it comes to routing, haha! Mob percentages kind of ensure that!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

Okay, well good luck tanking in a key higher than 10 or a raid difficulty higher than Normal lol.

I already have. I have not raided yet, and that’s literally just cold feet. I don’t want to be a frustration for another tank before I feel ready, and I’m a chump when it comes to self motivation.

Nevertheless, from the tanks I know, raiding is supposedly much easier for tanks.

What is with these very automated sounding responses. It does not feel genuine.

What does that even mean.

Tanking, by essence, is the most predictable and easy role to handle. You know exactly how much damage you are going to take and when because the bosses and mobs are pretty much programmed to do things in certain orders. Mechanics? What’s that, beyond a tank swap and popping mitigations and not pointing bad things/breaths/etc in the wrong direction, it’s pretty much autopilot.

It means I hesitate to tank a raid.

Hello, I see you replied to the thread. Don’t! Tanking in a raid is even easier! Your biggest hurdle is just knowing when to taunt, haha!

Thanks for your post and have a great day!

raid is pretty easy. im old 40 2 barely functioning hands. and i can do it at an above avg rate, but mind you im not perfect just ask my guild i struggle with certain mechanics an boss. like todays raid i sucked it happens.

but topic needs to focus more on what is preventing dps from there potential.
