[MAJOR ISSUE] Engineering Target Dummies Bugged

Currently the engineering target dummies are bugged and are not dropping random engineering materials upon expiration. I have not been able to test if they drop loot when outright killed as nothing I have run into can kill them fast enough yet.

This is a MAJOR ISSUE for engineers as it is the primary source of fused wiring, a higher level engineering component used for creating several engineering devices. Without this feature engineers are forced to rely on random drops from certain enemies in Gnomeregan, which means that for Alliance players there is a reasonable alternative after a certain point, but for Horde players they are completely left without a viable alternative.

This breaks the profession and several impacts the market for these items.

I also would like to see this issue resolved, or at least a response in the meantime, letting us know that they are working on it.

What do you mean? The teleportation device in Booty Bay exists.

You still have to complete prerequisites for that part first, and run there. I would not call that viable by comparison to literally having it right down the road from your major city.

Oh you’re trolling. Okay.

This is the bug report forum. Report bugs or leave.

This is really annoying. The fused wiring is a low drop rate from only certain gnomeregan mobs, and as a single person in a 5-man group, you aren’t likely to even get a single one per run. Horde rarely runs gnomeregan, so there is little supply for the AH either. Guess I’m skipping things like jumper cables and gnomish cloaking device until I can come back at a higher level and just solo gnomer.

Wish I hadn’t wasted gold making (and wasting) target dummies before realizing this bug.

I’ve used 4 dummies, none of them dropped anything, not even junk.

As it’s been mentioned, this mechanic is absolutely crucial to produce fused wirings.

It would be greatly appreciated if blizzard could give us any feedback. We just want to know that it is indeed a bug and that you intend to fix it sometimes in the future. Thanks.
