I am so sick of all the maintenance days lately. I get home from working a 12 1/2 hour shift and a 45 min commute at 7 am and keep losing play time. I just want to come home and play for 2 hours before I have to get some sleep.

Seriously its crazy after all this time they have not figured out how to cut down on the down time! It is the work force now, they are not about customer service.

lol you were not around when maint was 8 hrs a week you guys know nothing of downtime
never understood why this happens at 7am and not like 3-4am

yea it would make more sense at that time but that would mean they would have to pay the devs to come in early and do t his which can incur extra costs you do it at 7 when people are coming in you dont have to pay extra
Why would it cost more? I make the same per hour whether I start at 2am or 7am, the hours might be unfortunate but its once a week. Devs can work early hours once a week.

IT at the last 3 companies I worked for did most of their upgrades or maint on Sunday during the wee hours.
