Yesterday it said a hour, but today no banner for timeline. That’s never good. Hopefully its only the hour lol. Took the day off, hope it wasn’t for nothing.

I doubt they would do a fat maintenance on ‘Launch Day’ with all the advertising they did.
But it is Blizzard so who knows.

They sure made sure it stayed up on X over their own game page, after taking it down last night and replacing it after the shut down this morning.

Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it.
Always schedule your time off for at least 24-48 hours after official launch. 
Though maybe this one won’t be so bad, since it’s been up for a bit already via early access. Launch day issues should have been sorted by now.

As of just before Maint they put the banner back up on the Launcher. Right now it says 7am - 9am Pacific Time. ESTIMATED (we know what that means).

If only they put that in advance… Like they usually do. (They did not have a banner at all up when the message came up).
No hassles i’ll finish up leveling after a snooze, but would’ve been nice knowing there would be a projected 2hr downtime earlier.

After they took servers down and kept all the info updated on X before their own product.
Let us pray that bugs will be fixed, performance increased. Let us hope that skill books come fast for gatherers and orders come fast for crafters.

The banner wasn’t showing on my launcher a few minutes ago. Then I found their maintenance schedule, where it says just one hour. But now the banner has appeared on my launcher and it says two hours. So that clears that up!

Came here looking for this and was starting to think I was crazy. Couldn’t find info anywhere. Glad there’s a banner nearly 15 min later lol
Still doesn’t explain placating to X and not their own platform until after shut down.

If memory serves, every maintenance after an expansion is always several hours. I was stunned when they said it would only be one hour

They have a maintenance schedule on their support page. In theory it should be the go to. It just unfortunately doesn’t seem to match the new banner on the launcher. The change to two hours must have been a last minute thing.
They use social media because a lot of players use social media. I wouldn’t call it placating. It’s just going where the people are. They have a bluesky as well.
I’m not sure why anyone would even look at twitter. That page just seems like gibberish. The posts aren’t even appearing in chronological order!
