So I used to play wow a long time ago and the maintenance was always tuesday for an hour maybe two. Now sometimes its all day, its a day and a half, its longer than scheduled. I understand the game is old and complex and needs a lot of upkeep. HOWEVER, can we not schedule Classic and retail on two different days? I can guarantee I am not the only person who switches to Classic when retail is down and vice versa. You guys are shooting yourselves in the foot scheduling them at the same time. Making everyone more irritated and bored than they need to be. Then they have time to go annoy you with forum discussions to read…

Then you have a short memory, 6 hour maintenances use to be the norm every Wednesday morning during vanilla & bc.
Then when youre ready to google wow status 5 mins before the realms come back up bang , 4 hour extended maintenance.
To answer your question, the reason is cost.
Why would they pay the engineers for 2 days instead of once a week.
I mean they’d probably resent the fact that wages actually exist anyway.

If memory serves, all day maintenance were more common in the past than they are now…
At the least, this one is ETA four hours. The Vault isn’t going anywhere!
