So I need to vent my frustration with this line of quests. Why require something that only comes from a) world bosses once a week, b) Ny’otha bosses (which can drop better gear), or c) bgs wins? During the course of having this quest, just to obtain 20 (not the next one that is 200 of the same item) I brought my ilvl from 430 - 454 and I still only have 16.
One would think that BGS would be an easy way to get them, but from my experience in the random queues, the win rate is like 1 in 7. This makes me wonder if they even try to balance the bgs teams that they match against each other or not (I’m thinking not).
Oh there’s a fourth way to gain them, which is pvp vs people over 120 in open settings. I’m not a fan of world pvp, it’s just my preference and it’s really annoying to be forced to do so as the only viable way to up my gear by blacksmithing.
At this rate, by the time I can make the 20 shreds of insanity, my gear from trying to get them will be better. And it’s not like I can sell them to other players, since they are bind on pick up. Can you please change these requirements in the quest so people who put the time into leveling their craft can actually have a use for the bop items they make? Either that or bump the gear up to a higher level for each tier.
