same here, can’t get passed that screen
I’m Having the same Issue but its only one of my Characters that is currently in the Ringing Deep load screen hits 90% then disconnects me

This honestly seems like a server latency issue. I was able to log into one character with minor issue, but when I tried to log out it just sat there. I attempted several more logout attempts before finally saying “F it” and started moving my character to play, when it logged me out. On my next character, it would not turn in a quest until about the 20th time I tried. Would not log out of that character no matter how many times I tried. Against my better judgment, I alt-F4’d the game, and now I’m stuck at “Retrieving character list.”
i still cant sign in its honestly pitiful…
I was questing with my wife, we finished up before she had to start work, so I decided to use my Warbank to drop off alt gear…nope. Opened but to adding anything. Then she couldn’t log out; me neither. Checked and we apparently had zero bandwidth, so I manually closed the window. Tried to relog, no problem, until I chose a toon, then it went into “retrieving realm list”. Hard crash.
i was on my DK and when i tried doing legion from chromie it sent me to searing Gorge lol after restarting my game thinking it fix it couldnt sign in lol
So, game worked before maintenance, now it doesn’t. Great. Shouldn’t it work better after maintenance…?

It would be great if we could get an extra day of game time added to our accounts because this has been basically unplayable for me all day.
I restarted Battlenet and my computer and it fixed the problem.

Thanks. Restarting battlenet did not resolve the issue for me, however, restarting my computer did clear it up.
Cleared up for me too & I just tried logging in before giving up for a grocery run. In & out just fine & off to the store. Thanks all <3
Currently missing my entire character roster on the two realms I play on. Any solutions to this other than “Wait on them to fix things”? 
Still having this problem as well. Dumping my Cache file in the Retail folder helps about half the time. Restarting Battle.net and my computer does nothing.

This has started happening again for me. Was able to play for about an hour or so before logging out and not being able to log back in.

Just tried logging in, every character is gone. Clicked on a “full” realm to see if they were actually there, and was met with the prompt that I’m trying to create a toon on a full server. I was afraid that if I went into the realm and there were no toons that the system would somehow update and ALL of my toons would be lost forever.
Wellp I managed to get in, only to not be able to complete a quest despite no matter how many times I ran away/reclicked. Abandoned the quest and now the starting NPC is no longer there. Logged out to hopefully fix and… well… you can guess 
No issues during early access. This is clearly the poors fault.

I get stuck at retrieving real list, then disconnects me
Was playing fine, got logged out, now unable to log in at all. It literally isn’t even primetime and blizz cant keep the garbage servers up.
