Well until about this time yesterday they were. My old Pc bricked a long time ago.
Given the list of forthcoming features, I would presume Mac users can anticipate some serious downtime this year, itās evident they donāt have a qa team at this point.
Iāll also take the award for older mac running the game.

FOUND THE FIX: Upgrade to Ventura 13.1 and works like a champ! We had problems on multiple Mac machines but once we upgraded to Ventura and let WOW install all the upgrades/patches, worked great. Good luck all!
Unless youāre on a computer that doesnāt support Ventura.
Yeah, but if I do that Im letting Apple brick my Mac by obsoleting forcing me to go out and purchase a new Mac.
Gonna give this a try. Curious if it were simply an issue of running latest OS, why didnt Bliz just put out a statement? Will report back.
Verifying that updating to Ventura fixes this issue? Before I commit to going through the update.
Same issues on mac. iām running on macOS monterey 12.6.3
Comp saying itās gonna taken 1hr to complete the installā¦
One would like to believe min system requirements would be published ahead of time rather than forcing an entire user base to update systems to latest OS (which may not be capable), otherwise the current published documentation provided is redundant.
Going to assume and remain optimistic that the fix will roll out after/during this morningās maintenance?
I feel like most people who are on macās use it for other reasons than WoW and are unable to update their OS. The game literally worked for everyone on older Mac systems on Monday. There should be no difference in software compatibility.
i have monterey and the game isnāt working for me, so thatās not the issue, idk if youāre trolling. i did get an update for monterey os yesterday morning before game reset and the patch, so maybe the update did something, or the patch did. i played the game after the os update, before the game went offline, and it was running better than ever since dragonflight came out.
My 2014 Imac doesnāt seem to support ventura
Having the same issue as everyone in this thread on my Intel iMac running Big Sur, though for whatever reason, it runs fine on my M1 Macbook Pro running Ventura, so Iām surprised to see others with the same issue running on the latter hardware and OS. Could just be a fluke. Whatever the case may be, Iām glad Blizzard has seen this thread and hoping they resolve the issue soon.
I just wish we could at least get an update. Like is the maintenance that is scheduled for today include the hotfix orā¦? I already missed my chance for gear from the raid last night and my chance to fill out the raid row for the vault with my guild.
OMG, upgrading to current MacOS (Ventura -Jesse the Body) WORKED! Game loaded find (addons didnt). In fact, I think the initial loadup into the game runs smoother.
Been reading lots of complaints about other bugs, but can report I upgraded from Big Sur to Ventura and the game now loads without any issues.
bumping the thread. same issue with macos 10.14
LOL! After all that I was about to settle in for a WoW session and now Blizz has announced in game thereās gonna be a server shut down.
Sad tears of not playing for another day
I am having same issue.
