Hey there, I’m just wondering if it matters which slot you have daggers in, are mainhand/offhand functionally the same? Does it matter which weapon you have equipped in those slots? Thanks in advance!
You always want to put your highest ilvl weapon in your main hand regardless of the spec with the potential exception of Outlaw because Outlaw cannot attack with a Dagger in the main hand but can in the off hand since your off is essentially a stat stick.
Ex: If you were an Enh shaman with a 639 wep and a 626 the 639 will always be in your main. Outlaw for example if you have a 626 sword and a 639 dagger you would still use the dagger in your offhand instead of another 626 sword.
Yeah, basically the same concept for Outlaw, with some weird nuances with weapons that have proc effects, depending on how good the procs are and all that jazz.
Poxstorm was always better in the OH in SL if it was within like 10-15 ilvls of the MH, since the extra proc damage made up for the effects. Thankfully, at least until Tuesday, nothing is weird in that regard for the raid.
BRD has an updated version of Ironfoe, Bloodfist, and the Shanker, which all have some interesting procs, so one of those might make the “OH always” list.
