Each option reduces the cooldown to 10 sec. Also, brings the parry chance down to 10%.
FIRST option is all about snap threat and allowing MG itself to boost threat upon cast.
SECOND option incorporates Riposte. It allows ~2 Riposte casts within a 10 sec window. It would allow a slight increase in dps/tps. While also weaving Riposte in the rotation.
THIRD option simply gives SS another buff to its threat.

how about just make it the builder replacing SS.
With current Phase 6 sims, MG and SS just do not scale. With its current implementation, MG would need to buff the SS damage by 1000% during its active buff window and it still would not be close to the current SSL sims.
As of now, if we compare phase 6 setups for SSL and MG:
- SSL rotation does 50% more threat
- SSL rotation does 60% more dps
You could add “saberslash does not benefit from the additional threat of Just A Flesh Wound” and it would still be ahead of any MG setup, purely because it is an absurd difference in damage.
Because SS does not scale as much as SSL with gear, the gap increases every phase. Even when comparing to other classes and their expected DPS/TPS in phase 6, MG is lagging behind every class.

I completely agree. MG needs such a massive increase to compete. But I think this plays into my ideas even more. My ideas are decent buffs to MG. Definitely nothing too crazy. But even with the decent buffs I’ve given, it closes the gap, even if just a little.
I think giving MG a nice buff to see how it does in phase 6 doesn’t hurt anyone. SoD has seen several overpowered runes. MG desperately needs help. I REALLY don’t think it’s going to break this SEASONAL game if they just make MG good for 1 phase. Just do it. Give it a shot. If it’s too overpowered, then sure, nerf it a bit.

At this point the Main Gauche Rune should be replaced with something of actual use tbh. They’ve been trying phase after phase to ram it down our throats, and it doesn’t matter how good they try to make it, it’ll never compete at this point. It needs a complete re-work done by someone that understands how rogue tanks function. Our tank set bonuses are pretty garbage.
At this point I’ll probably just end up tanking in DPS gear because it’s more beneficial to me.
If blizzard are so adamant on keeping this ‘MG window’ 10sec 20s CD.
They need to really buff MG during this window and have it be so it cant be block/dodged/parried (timeworn AQ stuff helps i guess here)
The bonus should just apply to RIPOSTE aswell and remove riposte CD entirely during MG buff and massively increase its threat.
It would be nice to have a high TPS / low DPS build option to get some actual variety in.
Not to mention the whole back-rune slot is worthless once (if) we drop 2-set coreforged.
