Gonna be sad when the trolls come to this thread.
I never felt right in my own skin. I wanted to play with boy’s toys and wear those little dress shirts with matching ties and other boy’s clothes as a kid. I wanted to do martial arts.
Instead I got girly clothes and ballet. So cringe.
You’re assuming he killed himself.
God I love dress shirts, they come in so many different colors (pink! purple! blue! aa) and I can look at myself and be like 'thats a good looking guy)
Honestly will never understand the concept of gendering literally everything, and forcing children into the “correct” attire, toys, games, etc. If a child reaches for a barbie doll, a dress, a baseball bat, a superhero figure, that just means they like that thing for literally countless reasons. If you’re scared you child is going to “become xyz” from literally HOLDING a toy horse, then I have news for you… you’re insane.

No, no I’m not. At all. In fact, I actively think he didn’t.
Read the OP post again please. The point was that any promotion of death as an escape/path to affirmation also promotes suicide, particularly for those who don’t feel affirmed. Nowhere did I say I thought pelegos committed suicide.
I think you’re stretching a bit
Now you’re just stepping into religious territory.
Once again, not at all. I think you’re trying to make my post something that it isn’t. Instead of replying in 20 seconds please actually re-read it, I personally thought I very carefully wrote it to say what I mean.
I am referring to simple human psychology, not religion. Internal weights and biases. This is researched stuff.
Have you considered that the concept of transitioning is alien within the WoW universe? Which is why Pelagos felt uncomfortable, but never understood why that was? Only realizing after the fact when he could choose his form (something he did not get the option to do in life.) that this is what he was missing?
We know better now, we understand gender dysphoria, what it means and how to support those who have it, but think back to how some of the first people who felt gender dysphoria must have felt, long before we understood it at all. They’d have been as uncomfortable as Pelagos, without knowing why.
Uhh, yes it is. The Shadowlands is the afterlife. We go there after we die. And if we die there, well, GG, we no longer exist.
I read your post. I don’t agree with it.
Too much of a stretch.
yeah but I think dying in the shadowlands is the true death. dying on azeroth and then porting to shadowlands isn’t really death…it’s just more life, elsewhere.
That’s perfectly fine, but then please disagree with it for a reason that is true instead of saying I’m saying he killed himself or am promoting some religion. Just say you think I’m dumb. Easy.
I’m more polite than that.
And this, Blizzard, is why you never cater to these people. Ever. The fact that this kind of complaint is so common that I can’t tell whether this is a troll should be a hint.
EDIT: And now a bunch of them brigaded this post to try and get me banned. Thankfully, the mods know better than to fall for this. But please, keep showing everyone what kind of people you really are.
I was forced to be so girlified by my mom that I had jeans that were pink.
I have only one thing to add…
Well said, Bravo.
I am getting tired of the political and social push by Blizzard.
You can’t support diversity, if you are going to only empower a specific group of people and exclude the other.
That’s a very good point, tbh. It’s a very “Pelagos didn’t know he was trans, until he died and it suddenly all made sense.”
Remember OP, we are taking about a character from Azeroth or another fictional world, not a Earthbound culture of 2020.
Suggesting that a trans person might kill their self to achieve gender euphoria based on what the player might see in game…well, that’s about as big a stretch as a player that wants cool things and money in the real world deciding to pick up a sword and kill people to loot their stuff.
What you talking about is a person that can’t tell the difference between fantasy and reality. There is nothing Blizzard can do about that.
Edit: OP, if you or someone you know are having thoughts such as you mentioned, please immediately get psychological help.
