is just me, i really dont see a lot of players in the main city, i do remember back then how ironforge was plague of people running around, SW full. is it posible that not many players returned to the expansion?

Why should they be hanging out in the city when there’s stuff to do? Also: aren’t you on a dead server like me? Of course there won’t be that many around.

The city is pretty crowded on Moonguard.
Huh? Valdrakken is so packed it’s lagging out on Lightbringer.
Mine’s pretty busy, and the world as well.
Valdrakken has always been hopping when I’ve been there.
The main bank-inn-AH terrace is usually pretty packed.
Even on Sentinels, I always see plenty of people around Valdrakken.
The city is a laggy mess that’s why
I see a lot of them, but it’s server based. Different experiences for different realms.
My city is so full! Plenty of players and I actually get an FPS drop, now.

Plus, I’m having so much fun out in the world flying around that I doubt I would spend any time hanging around a city.

That too. This reminds me of an argument I see used against player housing, that it would detract from seeing people in cities - to which my answer is, so what? Is there something valuable about a bunch of people standing around in the same place, not doing anything?

Some of us are introverts who don’t mind if we don’t see another person for days. I guess those who hate empty cities are extroverts who get jumpy if they’re alone for five minutes.
well I can state that Ironforge is a pretty dead place. All my Alliance characters are based there and just do Fishing and Cooking Daily quests and that is all.
There are a couple of regular quests but I have those all done. Special events show up several times of the year and I sometimes do those.
The only players I see there are other players doing the same things I am doing.
I remember Ironforge being packed in pre-TBC and then never again. A lot of people are in the main city of Dragonflight, where you can use the AH even if you’re not an engineer, so many people have no reason to go back to Stormwind
