I play on a PvE server and I am trying to get an item to one of my Alliance players and I can’t send through mail and when i try to buy the item on AH it says you cant buy your own item. Is there no way to send items between Horde and Alliance?
have a trusted friend buy it on the auction house for you to trade

The only way to send non-account bound items across factions is with the help of a friend.
Use a very trusted friend or guildie, and coordinate the transfer through the AH, preferably by having them post and you buy when you are both on and communicating over discord or whatever, so you know exactly when they post and can buy it immediately.
Don’t cheap out and list it for a copper, though. Lots of folks “play” the AH and scan it for things like that, so give a small but decent price to avoid it getting sniped.
One alternative: RAF yourself and set up a second account. If you have the gold for the base game/battlechest and some game time, you’ll get to pick a RAF reward (e.g., a pet or mount, like the X-53 two seater rocket mount) and you can do transfers like this all on your own by starting up two instances of WoW on your computer and logging in with each account.

yeah i remember back in WoD trying to trade an upgraded crafted axe to my alliance friend that way and somebody snatched in an instant it before he could get to it lol
