I sent mail to one of my character but I died before opening the mail. I am trying to use mail return services to see if I can get that mail returned back to the sender but the mail return services keep erroring out saying " Something went wrong on our end
An error has occurred. This may be a temporary error, so please try again later.
Blizzard Support Home". I have been trying for two days. I’ve tried it in different browsers as well with the same result.
I tried looking in forums but did not see a similar issue so raised a new one.
Please help, I was almost 40 so I had sent all my gold to the character that died

If you are dead you have to wait the 30 days for it to auto return. Then delete the character. If you delete before the mail will not go back.
I already deleted the character but I can restore the character. Can I restore the character and let it sit there for 30 days so the mail goes back?
I do not know if a restored character gets their mail back. So i don’t know the answer to this.
The return mail feature definitely works but the system itself does seem to be down.
I used it several weeks ago without issuse but I was getting the same “Something went wrong” error when I tried to use it again last night.

I already deleted the character that died with unopened mail. Will there be any issue with it being deleted or should I go ahead and restore it just to be on the safe side?
Since we are returning a mail sent from bank alt which is not deleted, I don’t see an issue there but I am not sure since I’ve never done it before.
I don’t think it’ll be an issue.
I know I had the mail returned from a dead character but I can’t remeber if I had deleted it already or not.
You can only restore 1 character every 7 days but we can’t play dead characters on the server anyway so I don’t see any harm in restoring it until the mail service comes back online.
