The title. Not sure how to fix this. All my toons with something on the AH say they have mail but when I check the mail nothing is in there? Is there a fix to this? It still does it even with addons turned off.
Experiencing the same issue. The In-game mail notification icon will also appear with “You have unread mail”, but there will be no mail. This is regardless whether I have a pending sale.

I’ve been having this issue since 9.1.5 basically. Super annoying.
This is still happening. They just cant seem to get this system to work.
I think this is linked to mail actually going missing.
I got 10 living steel in the mail 3-4 days ago which appears to have been hung up in the mail for months maybe. Anyway I relisted it on the auction house and it never sold and it wasn’t returned in the mail as an expired auction. I made a ticket and they said it was in the expired folder and restored it for me. I checked when I read the ticket and it wasn’t in the mail box (even though there was a mail icon). I made another ticket the the GM said they can see it in my mailbox but I cannot so I was supposed to wait a day.
This morning again I have a mail icon when I log in and no mail. I make another ticket and this GM is less than helpful since he just tells me it was restored… even though I made clear I didn’t receive it.
I had the same thing yesterday on a character that had just browsed legendary bases on the auction house, but didn’t end up buying anything. She has not posted anything on the auction house that I can remember (if so, it was a long time ago). When I clicked the mailbox to see what it was, the icon disappeared and there was no mail.
It sounds to me like there is a bug in the item delivery system which they are unprepared or unable to fix. If it is happenings it a very sad situation for the game to be in. Its almost up there with New World type issues. Almost, not quite as bad yet. there is still time…

I ended up making another ticket and finally got it. They had to reset that character. They previously cleared my game cache and my bnet caches and that didn’t fix anything.
I think this is also linked to not being able to server transfer.
I wanted to transfer two characters, I did the first character and received the message I had active ah items, which I didn’t, a friend suggested I try a mail retrieval which I did and I received two Korthian Armaments. I used them and I was able to transfer with no problem.
The 2nd character on trying to transfer, also had the same message regarding active ah items which I don’t have. I am unable to try a mail retrieval on this character for 15 days!
I have been trying to transfer the 2nd character now for 5-6 days and I have sent numerous requests for help. I have deleted half my inventory, sent all "bind to account " items to alts , and checked for pets and heirlooms. I believe I have mail floating around in the nether that is causing this problem, I can only hope someone sorts it soon as GMs don’t seem to be able to .
