Time for new leadership and roles then. This entire system has failed the night elves along with the alliance.
I like Maiev, she gets things done. Would she be a good fit for the current Nelves though? ehh, probably not. She works better as a relic of the old Nelves, that is to say she works better doing the things that need doing that Tyrande and Malfurion may not want to do necessarily but know have to be done. This would be akin to saying Mathias Shaw would be a better leader for the Alliance than Anduin. While absolutely true, he works better at being a super spy.
Voljin’s farts would be a better leader than Anduin, just sayin

What’s a little instability when you’re trying to save a race? This would be a completely relevant change to the game and an interesting commentary to boot.
The killing of Tyrande/Furion would be like Anwar Sadat. Killed not by Horde hands, but by hardliners among their own people.

What can I say? I believe in border security, a healthy social fabric, and a society based around a clear and defined set of virtues and morals. I’m a traditional night elf. I can’t wait for the day we get to kill Anduin and secede from this failing Alliance.

They wouldn’t. The true night elves of WC3 would’ve severed his head and strung it on a tree at the Barrens border as a warning to the savages and the humans alike.

I would love a new Night Elf ruler, but having the Night Elves ruled by someone who isn’t a Druid or High Priestess of Elune just doesn’t feel right to me.
Maiev was an interim High Priestess between Dejahna and Tyrande. We’re good.

Well I’m not silly enough to think that Blizz would actually pay attention to my suggestion. It would be too divisive, I wager.
But I’m just spitballing for funsies.
I mean, they steal half their plots from Pyromancer videos without paying the man, so you may as well put it out there.
I may not like Tyrande much after Valsharah but Maiev as a racial leader seems like an incredibly stupid idea.
She’d stab you in the face for a peanut butter sandwich dude. She’s nuts.
Some of the coolest things that ever happened to me were said to be this.

True, but she also got results each and every time she wanted to do something.
She ended up beating Illidan at Outland.
She ended up Escaping from Darnassus after killing a bunch of people and accepted back.
She ended up doing key moves that allowed us to defeat the Legion.
And she ended up winning the warfront.
Maiev makes night elf great again.
