Why shouldn’t it be 2000% or 3000%? Why can’t Dracthyr just click anywhere on the map they want and instantly teleport there?
All fixed location teleports, not even remotely the same.
This is not the argument you think it is.
If anything, implying that a racial is comparable to a class ability is more evidence it should be nerfed.

soar can only be used once every 5min and fly on one map
someone on a steady 310% speed mount or taking portals or any other way of transportation can catch up in that time very easily which i feel make’s the argument irrelevant
soar is on a 5min CD
to gain great distance you need to be up/at a high peak to even reach such a greater speed lol
and have to be far too attentive with it to even stay aloft, nobody has any idea yet until they try it for themselves just how actually difficult it can be to keep flying.
and doesn’t have any of the recharge abilities the dragon riding has

what benefit are they going to get from it? via completing an old irrelevant quest quicker? there’s no bonus?

Yep, because there’s always a Mage available at the end of my raid instance when I’m heading to the next one!

This is about ONLY being able to go 640% speed. Instead of 930% speed. When everyone else is stuck at 410%.
Its just silly that this much outrage is being put on an ability that most of yall wont use.
Has anyone even given a good reason flying really fast is OP and broken other than “because my class can’t” or “because it is” I’m not sure how traversing the old world and fast speeds is a problem at all. Even if blizz puts new content in the old world, why does it matter if they can get a quest done faster? There is no bonus for completion time…
not to mention You don’t get 900% speed using Soar immediately,

We’re Shamans, so we get a unique transportation ability, as well! A permanent sprint, usable in combat and indoors, and a second hearth! To anywhere we want!
It’s almost like different classes and races can have different perks!

Why is twice as fast as everyone else such a slap in the face?

I am not sure you understand how portals work.
1 could be technical limitations. Though they haven’t said anything about it. having a couple people fly at mach 5 might be fine, but what happens when there are 100s of people doing the same thing? There could be loading stress on their servers that the old world wasn’t designed for. They could account for this in Dragon Isles but the rest might have to be re-made to accommodate, which would explain why you can’t dragon ride in the older maps.
2 the number of times that I missed a World Boss by mere seconds that I would of easily reached with a Dracthyr style Dragon Riding. Conversely, the number of world bosses that I just got to where I wouldn’t have if more players had Dracthyr style dragon riding.
On another note, all I can see is people saying is “Dracthyr vs other classes”. What happens when Dracthyr can become those classes? Or is the assumption Dracthyr can only ever be Evokers
