I love watching venruki play, but I’m trying to not pick a EZ mode class, I see its super popular, so I just don’t want to be another one of the 3 million mages, ya know?
Mages can be countered, but its not easy.
But yes, Mages are kinda broken when played by someone who knows how.
Kinda boring too.
Yes, mages have an advantage. This was before hyper balance so some specs were actually OP compared to others. Mage is the best ranged dps.
I think mages are a little overatted, but yeah, the right hands they are really good.
They are glass cannons.
I always feel i am dancing on a razors edge playing a mage… one mistake… one-shot…
Play feral Druid.
/dead Frost Mage
I’ve gone back and forth on whether I want to be a mage or a warlock.
Water is good and so are ports, but healthstones and summons are also great.
My leveling buddy is going hunter so not sure if one or the other will complement him better.
There’s nothing wrong with it, and it’s what makes Vanilla special. Sure, some classes are OP but at least we weren’t all the same because Blizz didn’t want people left out because they didn’t bring a useful skill to raid.
Just play what you like. If you end up picking an underdog and getting owned you are gonna be miserable.
Glass cannon made out of titanium… Two Blocks, Ice Barrier, Ice armor, Mana Shield…
yeah if they ran around without pressing buttons they would be squishy…
become a master hunter. learn the way of weaving shots, thinking ahead with traps to ensure no one enters your range limit, find the best pets and tame them, master the aspect of teh DAZE (aspect of the cheetah or pack) so that you have it off just as a mob is about to strike! become…the hunter… not hutnard
Which, believe it or not, actually happens quite a bit.
Mages will be plentiful, yes. GOOD mages will be much more rare.
I’m just saying if you make a mistake, you are done for…
I am well aware what classes do… I’ve played vanilla lol…
With only 4 classes that can reliably get a DPS spot, you’re going to be one of the 3 million of anything. And mages aren’t THAT great. Equally skilled, most classes either win easily or put up a fight. In PvP they only really have an advantage on rogues and warriors. In PvE, every class depends on how their skill compares to each other player.
I agree… I find mages to be slightly overrated.
am age would be great for slowing enemies to keep them from reaching the hunter, but warlock has fear, and a tank pet, really i think both would be great becasue of having two pets and two dps, or as i stated before the slowing and OP nature of mages played correctly

Which, believe it or not, actually happens quite a bit.

You don’t need to be good to own people on Mage. You have so many get out of jail cards.
Play a hunter. They were really tough for me back in Vanilla. Good warlocks too. Shaman could be tough.
beating a mage all depends on finding the opening to make them waste big cds. Leaves them naked to getting popped
i think there will be plenty of guilds letting people be what ever spec they want to be and class for dps, they might have several raid groups to be put in to be sure they make it, at least thats my plans
hunters for me are hard to be first toon. Bag space is a must and between food for pet and a bag of arrows bag space is gone
