Change my mind...
Raid leaders, M+ high key runners and PVP experts, with the incoming changes why would you choose to bring a mage over literally any other class / spec?
Okay, aside from damage - Mages bring Arcane Intellect, Tables, a ranged interrupt, roots, and a hard CC, and for Frost both ST and AoE snares with full uptime.
This is beyond an overreaction.

That's a bit excessive, we definitely aren't 'no longer needed in the game'.
The heavy-handed nerfs come down more to making us feel worse than making us totally un-viable. I'd argue that both have merit in the conversation, just don't confuse one for the other.

Mages are also amongst the best flag spinners in rbgs.

Show us on the doll where the bad freezy mage touched you.
The top M+ Warlock re-rolled Mage.
Why do you feel so entitled as to be "needed", the only other class that should get the beatstick is rogue now.

Why am I seeing so many warlocks in these mage forums. How do you struggle versus a mage as a warlock? Gtfo lol
They're just so jelly of our biscuits and buffs.10/31/2018 09:45 PMPosted by Daygo10/31/2018 07:48 PMPosted by Ojoverdefrost mages still OP

The problem with your thinking is that you need a mage for m+, the question should be why allow frost mages to be needed with all the utility they have when other classes have much less than that?
This definitely needed to happen, frost is supposed to be the st/cleave spec not bursty aoe, that’s fires job.

Shut up you dumb weeb.
Your tears taste so salty
In raiding specifically, the changes make zero sense.
FM is last in heroic raiding and midpack in mythic.
The snares don't matter, but ST damage nerf? Ridiculous
Yeh 80k trash pack burst is funny, but utterly irrelevant, in the actual bosses, even on zekvoz, FM is midpack.
I just can't understand WHY the changes were needed at all. They were great in Mplus for certain situations - that's it.
So now, raiding, open world (you bet it affects that) and pvp all get smashed unnecessarily because of it.

err they are nerfing ST damage and all snares.......
Is it a single target nerf? Looks like aoe burst is getting nerfed, but all damage is getting buffed to compensate.11/01/2018 06:48 AMPosted by CrisallaIn raiding specifically, the changes make zero sense.

CS is used in ST rotation, the FB snare is also being nerfed. The 2% is like 300dps, going to lose quite a bit more than that.
When I went through the patch notes I noticed that the apply aura effect changed from -24% damage to -22%
While certain spells are getting nerfed there is an across the board buff too. This may mean that in pve your damage will remain constant.
Also all the slow nerfs are completely irrelevant in pve situations. Bosses and many elites are immune to the slow anyways and it doesn't necessarily make a difference for trash.

This isn't a substantial pve nerf, it's bringing CmS and FO burst aoe in line a bit and is compensated overall with the aura buff. This is literally an insubstantial change that you're writing home about. Also, yall salty tear weirdos need to socialize.
