Mages farming rock elementals

Why? I’m trying to quest in Badlands on my warrior, and the same mages are farming all the rock elementals nonstop. They are all levels 50-60. This sucks cause I need the elementals for several quests.

I made a similar post about the same topic. They should make the game so folks at max level can’t farm much lower level mobs to make coins.

Elemental Earth

There’s your answer.

Send them a whisper telling them you don’t need any of the Elemental Earth, you just need them for a quest and could they please invite so you can get kills?

This is probably the best solution so long as the mage is not a pos.

It is dumb and a bad oversight by Blizz back in the day.

Getting the nifty stopwatch is damn near impossible. Even in the middle of the night they will still be getting farmed.

Yes these are farmed constantly for elemental earths. I’ve had people whisper me in other languages when trying to farm in the middle of the night trying to ask me questions. This is the only place this happens. So that says how popular these are to farm.

Yes the best solution is to try to group for the quest items.

No it’s not

You wanted your social interaction - go message those mages and hope they’re not bots.

Oh, god. Stop crying and ask for an invite, say you’ll give the elemental earths away and your quest will be done within 10 minutes.

Yeah I let lowbies tag along all the time. Put it on free for all and they loot after I loot to get the quest drops. Piece of cake.

Not really pretty much all the farmers just ignore you.

Is this thread real? 10/10 if its a troll.

Strong enough possibly that the mages are not human players.

If thats the case, then OP has another solution… (report that is!)

Indeed, if the actions of the mage don’t appear to be human, then it’s his duty to say “this looks like a bot” if that guess is true Blizzard will ban the botter and everyone wins. He will even get a nice letter in the in game mail from Blizzard if they ban a cheater or botter.

That’s a pretty big if these days.

This wouldn’t be an issue if they hadn’t made the change to Landslide’s adds.

Because a single server should only have 2k players max. The smallest servers have a population around that number, but mid size servers have about 6k players, and the largest servers have 10k-12k players. There isn’t enough world on one server for more than 2k players. Classic has been botched since day 1 because the masked the insane problems from overpopulating servers with layering, then just stripped layering without adjusting anything else in terms of spawn rate to accommodate these larger server populations.

At this point, just bring back layering. If Blizzard will do nothing about population control, then layer the game to band aid the massive problem.

Servers were capped at 3,000 concurrent players towards the end of Vanilla.

The smallest servers do not have anywhere near 2,000 concurrent players even at prime time.

No they don’t, rofl. That’s around the single layer cap for Full servers, of which there is ONE right now.

No, the highest number of concurrent players in the last few months was on Arugal when they had the 2nd layer enabled. They had around 8,000 players online.
