Mages lost a ton of utility in Shadowlands, DH’s got nerfed across the board and people are still crying.
Please stop with the constant complaining of mages and demon hunters. It’s getting ridiculous at this point. Worry about your own class if you don’t play them ( I have a 478 mage and a 476 DH).
I don’t want to enter the expansion playing two underwhelming classes because of the constant crying.

It’s an alpha, and they’re not only a Pure DPS spec, but they’re core to the Fantasy realm. There’s zero chance they go live in this state.
…I mean, aren’t most of us dead in the Shadowlands? That’s sort of how souls get there to begin with.

The shimmer change? Because invis has been verified to still work in all three specs, so I know you’re not talking about that loss. What other utility have mages lost?

They’re losing their 2nd shimmer. The only reason they added shimmer with 2 charges and the fact it doesn’t interrupt when you “shimmer” is because they removed deep freeze stun into sheep.
Now what will occur is they’ll go regular stun break blink and polying the healer will be practically impossible if healer knows how to pillar.
Of course, they could simply unprune deep freeze and everything gets back to normal. Frost mage goes back to being the main choice (they don’t have ridiculous burst anyways so no1 qqs), Hansol can still use frost nova deep into sheep as fire. And everything is fine. But Blizz won’t do that so yes, mages will probably be the weakest dpser unless deep or 2nd shimmer comes back.
You simply can’t prune deep and 2nd shimmer. As for Gpy… Unless you’re running double fire mage, landing 1 every 15 seconds is fine unless the cd triggers when u press gpy. Less 2v2 rogue shinanigans of double sapping for 2nd gpy to hit, that’s the consequence of that nerf lmao.
Shammies are just dead inside from past expansions of being the runt. They don’t know how to handle the joy of buffs at this point so they’re just deadpan

The problem with mages is that they are DoA in the same way they were in BFA. We’ll have to wait and see how they bandaid them this time.
DH definitely needs a nerf, and only someone that’s biased would say otherwise.
