Mage water in phases 2 & 3

As I’m sure many are aware, mages will be able to conjure the best water available in phases 2 and 3 but will do so 2 at a time.

Please do not make us conjure them 2 at a time. Make it 10.

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Make walking do 10 steps at a time instead of two as well. My time is just so valuable I can’t be bothered by anything that hinders it

Mages conjuring 2 at a time is just going to slow a whole raid down when the raid wants 120 waters total. Several mana bars.

But alas I don’t know why I’m responding to a troll.

Mages need to learn their place as mindless vending machines.

Prep for raid ahead of time then as group forms.

I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the new runes addresses this via a table or something. It’s not like you wouldn’t be able to just switch it out before fighting so it doesn’t really matter what slot it uses.

That would be a great idea.

That’s pre-raid prep. Just like gathering extra consumes for your raid, you should be prepping extra water for whenever somebody needs it.

Obviously doing it on the spot is an awful idea, and is basically the equivelent of buffing after you click “yes” on the ready check.

If they have a non-combat utility rune slot, table seems likely. If they don’t, they should simply give mages a quest to learn table as a skill and have it give % based food. We already know you can learn skills separately from runes that aren’t part of the rest of classic since Shaman learn Dual Wield as a skill and can use it independently of the DW runes.

You joke, but enjoy getting water 10 levels lower from mages whenever you request it.

At 2 stacks per cast, I’m not giving anyone the good water but myself. This affects other classes more than it affects mage.

you will conjure water that barely makes drinking worth it 2 at a time, and you will be happy :expressionless:

This is the thing. While the pre-raid prep the others have mentioned is true, mages get asked for water plenty of times besides scheduled raids - dungeons, pvp, etc. I’m not going to run around with 200 water (conjured 2 at a time) just in case.

Leaving it at 2 per cast is going to cause a lot of mages to just not conjure water for anyone, as you mentioned. Its going to create hostility.

Yeah, I’m just not going to give other people the level 40 or 50 water. If I’m conjuring 2 at a time for raid, it’s just for me. The rest of you will get a couple stacks of what I can conjure 20x at a time.

Dont like it? Buy your own water.

So here’s this GREAT POST posted on January 1st and since then we’ve learned that Blizz made some QoL releases for phase 2. Why the heck did some thought be given to make Int a 45 minute buff while the 2 water at a time issue got completely looked over?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give us mage a lvl 40 (and in phase 3 lvl 50) mage table so we can put water down on tap for the raid. Give a reagent cost and max stack count, Idc, just do something so we don’t spend the next half a year creating water 2 at a time.

The “2 at a time” was never meant to last more than once every 10 levels and only at levels 10,20,30,40, and 50 - you’d quickly level up and move on from that nonsense - even in Classic Era!

we must give them a water strike. That is how they will understand, no water for group members until this is fixed.

This is a good time to introduce a QoL book for refreshment table like how warlocks got summoning closet.

its not even just the fact that they are 2 at a time.
They also suck and regenerate under half our mana.

Give us PERCENTAGE BASED mana buns.

my current workaround is to abuse the battleground pregame buff and make a bunch of free water, still slow as hell but not as slow

That’s actually a good idea
