Blizzard. Please consider bringing back the Mage Tower Challenges in some form to the live game.
Rationale:

We pay for the game. It is not right that we all pay for the same game but some have access to more cosmetics.

Punishing players for not playing certain content makes people feel like they have a handicap that is not possible to overcome.

Most players that earned these “prestige” skins could care less if new players/players that didnt play legion acquired the skins.

It seems that cosmetic rewards are becoming something that Blizzard is giving a lot of attention to lately.

Legion is the most successful modern expansion. Many players loved the idea of an expansion that revolved around ONE weapon… Upgrading it through power and cosmetic challenges.

Bringing back the Mage Tower could potentially bring back players from Legion that were not interested in the story or gameplay loop of BFA.
I could go on for hours on reasons why I think this could be a positive move for the game. I honestly can’t think of what the drawback would be. I have played WoW since BC, but I’ve had to take several breaks throughout the years. I’ve spend hundreds of dollars on the game, and have every intention to keep playing. I just don’t agree with the idea of punishing players just because they didn’t play the game at a very short and specific time in the game’s history.
The tower could be brought back in many different ways…
EX. A seasonal event that is only available to max level players for a short time during each year.
EX. The tower could have some sort of difficult attunement that will take players a long time to complete, thus retaining the “prestige” factor.
EX. The tower could return in the same form as it existed in Legion. Any player that acquired the skins from the Mage tower could receive a special title, a feat of strength, or maybe even an exclusive recolor.
I know this is just one more request post out of millions that appear in the Forums everyday. I sincerely hope a Blizzard dev reads this. Again, I cannot see what the negatives would be with implementing any of the ideas mentioned above.
Thank you for your time and all the work you all put into this game. Lets make it better, and stop punishing players for not playing during Legion.

They will never bring back the mage tower but they could always create a warlock tower for you.

I agree. It sucks but it is what it is. I played all through legion and didn’t do one mage tower lol.

I didn’t have a computer capable of running WoW for almost all of Legion’s run.
But please do explain how that’s my fault and I should be punished for it.

You are passed redemption if you think its fair to say I deserve MoP Challenge mode gear because I didn’t know of WoWs existence at the time. You will never get the appearances, just like I will never get the MoP Mage set.

Glad mounts/titles/armor has always been seasonal. Seasonal PVP is completely different than just removing content from the game.

And that’s wrong in both cases.
Rewards should never be removed because not everyone has the chance to play while it’s current.

You have the same chance as everyone else if you played during Legion. Its no ones fault that you didnt get it but your own. Paying your sub doesnt automatically mean you have to get something.
This is wrong. Most of the players DONT want them to come back. If they bring Mage Tower vack then they need to bring back MoP and WoD challenge mode rewards, which again, they dont want to bring back.
If they left for gameplay or stort reasons then I can all but guarentee shiny cosmetics wont bring them back.
If they brought back a mage tower varianr ir would have to give a very different reward tied into the expansion.

Thankfully it isn’t wrong because its how the game is developed. You would hate League of Legends, or really any game in 2020. Exclusivity is the norm, sorry for your loss.

Zero excuse. I got multiple mage tower skins, including tank skins, on a laprop that could BARELY run WoW. I did it. Others did it.

As someone who also didn’t get his mage tower appearances OR MoP mog, I disagree. Occasionally removing content as a nod to players who completed certain challenges when they were still a challenge is fine. Almost all old content is still available, very little has been removed and we certainly aren’t being “punished” by missing out.
