Mage Tower

Is any other Holy Paladin having issues with the Mage Tower? I cannot get past the first part because the NPCs don’t feel like they’re killing the adds in time, and I run out of CC before the Rogue ones cast their Fan of Knives stuff again.

Maybe it’s a skill issue on my half which I’m starting to think, or maybe it’s just hard. Couldn’t do it in Legion, can’t do it now.

Don’t worry about your parties damage. Worry about your control of the enemies. You have to work with what you have.

I just finished the tower this morning. You need to take turn evil and blinding light. The rest of the talents dont matter but I ran double beacon if you want to run that. I used beacon on the tank and the hunter.

First phase of mage tower, let archer mana sting arrow hit the tank and dispel right away. Mages arent really that big of a threat, you can throw in a rebuke if they get close to their 3rd cast but its not the top priority. For knife throwers, rotate hammer of justice, turn evil, and blinding light. Save blinding light for double knife throwers. Atleast once, you will probaly have to pop all cooldowns and heal through it.

Second phase, kill eyes 1 at a time only at full HP or else you die. Last part of second phase, kill eyes again but watch for the explosion + enemy caster, the combo will kill you. Just rebuke him and kill eyes.

Boss fight, pretty easy, heal the 3 ghost best you can, the priority is to heal the knife throwers first because you dont want them spawning. It’s ok if you cant heal all 3, just dont let any knife throwers through. You actually want some mobs to spawn at the end otherwise they dont give you a break to drink.

For the actual final boss, he leaps on a set timer, just get used to the time. He puts a debuff on you that does damage based on how high your HP is…just stay low HP when you have a debuff but not less than 25%. You need to stack the green pools on each other or the room will fill up, good luck.

Everything the above guy said is good advice.

My only suggestion would be Repentance over blind. Rep is on a short cd and you can keep the mob cced for a while as long as it doesn’t break. But you can essentially use it to stop multiple knife dances alongside turn evil and HoJ, realistically only 1 should go off at a time at most. It will be very easy to deal with this when you learn to rotate through your cc to stop the damage.

That is what I did in legion and again in shadowlands, made it very easy. Maybe there is a new strat with blind or something but Rep was very nice imo.

Oh man I did this in legion but I remember how ANNOYING this tower challenge was. Doingit in my resto shaman was night and day same challenge. Hope you get it done!

Are you waiting until they complete the knife dance cast before CCing them? If you stop them before they finish the cast then they just start again.

If you’re already doing that then just save your aoe CC for when there’s two of them. If there’s only one of them doing knife dance, you can honestly heal through the damage.

I personally preferred completing it in sl with rep over blinding light, so you can give rep a go as well if you’re not finding blinding is helping

Turn evil is the important one

I was struggling initially with 3% haste (pvp gear) and as soon as i swapped to a 20%+ haste pve gearset the tower fell over, so make sure your stats make sense
