I saw someone post something about wanting them back if you finished a challenge for any other spec and class requiring that same challenge. So that for example Feral druids could get their appearances today if they had done the Fury warrior one back in the days.
I don’t think that would do it.
I also read someone’s comment saying how it’s been so long they no longer care if people were to get them, I assume this is partly true.
Mage Tower weapon (and form) appearances were really cool. In my case, I got Feral Druid back in the days and almost got Guardian. I think both are really awesome forms, but I no longer really care about the rarity of the Feral ones I have, and wouldn’t care much if people were to get them.
What I thought about is either of 2 options :
- We get a recolor from doing some challenging content, not related to Raiding in Mythic or getting 3k IO or becoming Gladiator, no. Something like Mage Tower. Something new and fresh that would give this as one of its rewards.
or
- We are allowed to unlock the 3 base recolors of each of the weapons, I don’t know what way but just enough so that players can earn them. We keep the base color to those who got them in the old days, so they get to be OG while the rest of the players that couldn’t or weren’t playing back then get to have a form or weapon they really like. Since artifact weapons had in my opinions the best looks for the most part.
Legion sold 3.3M copies I believe, Shadowlands was 3.7M, now I know they sold more overtime, but just taking this in account, that’s 400,000 players that were not playing Legion that played Shadowlands. That’s about 12.1% of the population of Shadowlands who never even got the CHANCE to get those weapons.
i suggest bringing them all to the trading post alongside the class sets theyre releasing

if so I’m sad to say this but they gotta add Tender’s Microtransactions.
500 for the Sets, 500 for the current set weapons, and this will most likely be like 650 or something.
Having 1000 a month isn’t gonna cut it if someone’s playing even more than 1 character.
And god knows Blizzard won’t want to improve the free amount a month just like that permanently.
Mage Tower weapons are not meant to go on the Trading Post. Challenge Mode armors are not meant to go on the Trading Post. The Brutosaur is not meant to go on the Trading Post. Perhaps in Shangri-la they are, but not here.

The thing is challenges aren’t that hard. They never were and they never will be.
If you get a Gladiator mount, I get that you don’t want it to be shared, since that means you’re in the top like 1% or something.
If you get a Mythic only mount, that mount will never be looted by other players for years, like 4 years for the most part, sometimes more sometimes less if people are motivated to creating groups.
But a challenge reward? Let alone a weapon??.. These were never hard, they just required you to put time and effort into them. That’s exactly what any new players trying them would need to put in order to get them.
It’s just about giving a chance to the lest fortunate who weren’t even given that chance back in the days. I’m not saying remove the entire rarity of them, but even then, Blizzard are also bringing back TCG mounts for 5$… so like… What’s rarer than a 3000$ card looted in a 1 in like 200 boosters back in 2008-2009?
You live in a bubble friend. There are legit people who drop 500 attempts on one challenge. Just because its easy for you doesnt mean it is for everyone. Every “challenge” in this game will be easy for someone. Blizz cant decide whats challenging on a sliding scale like that.

I know, but this doesn’t require you to be in the top 1% of the playerbase, it’s just to try it again until you finally get it.
It’s still challenging, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not a 1 percentile challenge like Cutting Edge or Gladiator is.
I got 1 and almost 2 in a single week back in the BFA pre-patch, considering the prices back then to enter. And today with the new mage tower I got all 7 different challenges done, as well as the tank one 3 times (twice as bear, once as monk) and 2 dps ones twice(Feral druid/Fury War)(Arms Warrior/Frost DK), in maybe a month of on and off. It was really fun for the challenge it did give me, but again, those full sets we got I’m glad to have, but I’m happy to see other people have them as well.
I hate in a videogame being like " I’m sad I wasn’t there then cause now I can no longer get that very cool thing ". Now I know it’s in 99% of the games, but we got enough of that with everything removed from Vanilla to Wrath at the release of Cataclysm, as well as every Gladiator mount ever released being like the coolest mounts.
I have a cutting edge. Its not 1 percent of the player base either it was just smashing face on a boss until it finally died 400 attempts later. It isnt different. Just let it lie. Theres thousands of appearances to be obtained on game. Its okay for a couple to be exclusive.

No it won’t. Not least of all because of the outrage storm it would cause. But especially because it would flood the world with more of them. And the entire reason they took it off the vendor is because they decided they didn’t like the idea of everyone having immediate access to the AH anywhere at any time.
