Oh gosh lol the freaking green fire warlock challenge didn’t feel this hard back then. I think I am going to go trinket hunting tomorrow and see if that will help.
Did you take over 100 tries? I looked up old forums about mage tower and people were like … oh I did it in 3 tries!
I’d rather walk through broken glass covered in lemon juice, while I stabbed myself in the eye fifty two times with a saltine before I’ll do MT ever again.
I would really like to get the fury set from MT and everyone says Fury is one the easiest to do but I guess that just goes to show how crap I am at the game because the last few times I tried were… very demoralizing.
Edit: Yup… just thought I’d try again. I don’t think I even hurt Agatha before being turned into a pile of goop on the floor.
Do 1st boss of Emerald Nightmare for the seedpod, use it when all the imps spawn. It will kill them by itself, and very quickly if you add any additional damage to them. Prioritize taking care of adds and pulling the exploding imps away from the main runway (or killing them) over damaging Agatha. Use maim/mass entangle/typhoon to keep the healing adds away and kill them before they get to her.
For talents, run whatever is comfortable for you. I don’t play feral, so I didn’t like blood talons because it took too much of my attention away from doing mechanics. So I just used feral frenzy. The only exception to this is probably predator, because it is pretty necessary for the encounter. You can barkskin every set of imp adds nearly, which should be where most of your damage is taken. Save survival instincts for bad overlaps (healing imps + group of imps.)
I’m willing to bet seedpod will change the game for you, if you aren’t using it already. Also potion of unbridled fury and BFA flasks are stronger than other potions in the mage towers. If you have any other questions or anything feel free to ask, I cleared all the mage towers back when they first released in Legion and during the first TW edition so I have plenty of experience.
I actually forgot to add something. Even after the nerf, crusader is an insanely OP enchant inside the mage tower. You can wear the Legion guardian druid claws of ursoc as feral, and double enchant them with crusader. You should sit at 100% hp nearly the entire encounter.
I did Guardian, Ele, Frost DK, Holy and Ret Pally, BM, and Affliction for my book. Took a combined ~300 pulls, probably 2/3 of which were on the guardian challenge.
If you attempt the bear challenge, I have advice for that one too! Definitely use the seedpod trinket, it trivializes a lot of the dps check in last phase, as well as adds in first phase. Then also try and grab the seething gaze trinket off of shadow lord in Draenor’s Hellfire Citadel raid. It will be your #1 and #2 damage during the encounter.
