I know if you unlocked the mage tower, you can unlock the different color tints for the weapons even now. Is there somewhere that shows you how to unlock the other colors?

Requirement : Have the challenge appearance unlocked. The requirements were significantly loosened in Patch 7.3–you no longer need the hidden appearance equipped while completing a specific activity.
Acquisition : Defeat Kil’jaeden, the final boss of Tomb of Sargeras on any spec .
Tint 3
Requirement : Have the challenge appearance unlocked. The requirements were significantly loosened in Patch 7.3–you no longer need the hidden appearance equipped while completing a specific activity.
Acquisition : Join an RBG group and win 10 times on any spec.
Tint 4
Requirement : Have the challenge appearance unlocked. The requirements were significantly loosened in Patch 7.3–you no longer need the hidden appearance equipped while completing a specific activity.
Acquisition : Clear all Legion dungeons (difficulty does not matter) on any spec.

Oooo thank you! So if you have all 3 mage tower skins doing all the legion dungeons will unlock tint 4 for all of them? Aren’t there some that you can only do in heroic? Is there a way to track which ones you’ve done?
As long as you have the base Mage Tower skin, you can unlock any of the other three in any order.
There are two that are Mythic only. I don’t know if there’s any way to track them if you’ve done them after getting the mythic tint. I’d suggest just steam-rolling them all one at a time.

Fulfilling the criteria on that character will unlock the tints for all of the appearances you’ve already unlocked on that character. You don’t even have to have the artifacts equipped when you do it anymore.
As far as the dungeon ones go, I’m pretty sure they can be completed on any difficulty, and soloing Legion dungeons is pretty trivial at this point.

Note, the Kil’jaeden kill must be on Heroic Difficulty (or perhaps Mythic) .

You don’t have to do all the legion dungeons I don’t think, just most? At any rate seat of the triumverate isn’t required as it wasn’t released when this was in the game, maybe you need to do the rest of them.
There aren’t any mythic-only dungeons in legion, some are heroic and above.
The skin requires clearing 8 of the 10 after obtaining the skin.
