Mage tower is pretty fun. Nostalgic and epic storylines.
It is punishing. The feeling when you finally beat it is amazing though.
A couple things I wouldn’t mind seeing changed would be no repair bills. And the consumables are murder on gold. They are almost required too so trying over and over is super harsh. Idk how to fix that though.
They could give you a stat template and disable all consumables. I thought that’s what it was at first, the cheese gear existing is just tricking people into thinking they can’t do it without it, no matter how small of an advantage it is.
At this point the devs should have the decency to state whether or not more tuning is coming so those waiting for nerfs don’t suffocate while holding their breath.
Heya, would you still recommend crusader for a frost DK? I’m getting mine ready for Xylem, guides say to use unending thirst/razorice. Any advice is appreciated!
Use fallen crusader and unending thirst in p1, and then use fallen crusader/razor ice in p2. I bought a blue pvp weapon from the oribos vendor as it requires you to have 3 weapons.
There’s no reason to spend gold on the crusader enchant.
Haha, the cynical side of me completely agrees with you. I will say, for the average player, now is a fantastic time to make some easy gold. I’ve made over 500k in the last week just doing some light farming which I think is a bit bonkers honestly.
Check my gear, check my renown, just like you I can’t play often anymore 2 hours on Sundays to be exactly, and yet I was able to do it with no much effort. The average player clears normal, and I wasn’t even been able to do that, in conclusion you are below the average player
The point I was trying to make, is that due to what the original was balanced around(ToS gear, two legendary items and the artifact), this TW’ing iteration should be tuned easier than that, due to the loss of…all borrowed power. Along with massive class and spec changes.
That said, even during Antorus, while definitely easier than they were during Tomb, they weren’t free wins unless you did the mechanics. I’m not saying tune these to the level that they felt late into Antorus with the overcharged artifact. Moreso, it should be easier than what the original was balanced around, with further tweaks to compensate for our loss of power, our loss of utility, our loss of defensives, etc…
However I also feel like, for Timewalking content, it should be designed and tuned in such a way that will make people want to do it. Hence why I said if most people enjoyed the original during Antorus, Blizzard should have taken that into consideration.
Personally, somewhere between Tomb, and Antorus is a reasonable ballpark, leaning closer to Antorus, since again, we are severely underpowered when compared to the original.
Honestly, I didn’t even bother applying because it all just reads one big PR stunt that will change nothing. If Blizzard wants to communicate with us, they should try using their own forums. If they want feedback, they should listen to the massive amount of feedback they get during Alpha, Beta, and PTR cycles. Adding a special subforum for “CC members” is a waste. While some of the CC members have posted good threads, the vast majority have zero Blizzard responses. Whereas, one would assume Blizzard would be jumping at every thread posted there that has gained even a little traction.
I really think this 1% mentality is silly. This isn’t real world politics this is WoW! I think if that was how they actually thought and operated none of us would be here playing. I don’t mythic raid, do high keys or pvp. I still play and I’m not the “1%”. I still have lots to do and feel like Blizz at least tries to make content for me. I think we need to leave the Bernie talk in Washington and realize this is a video game. Unlike real world politics we have the option to just excuse ourselves if we feel we’re being mistreated. Nothing is holding us here and holding onto this idea that Blizz only cares about roughly 20,000 players is again, silly. We are not oppressed because the MT is hard, we can be as unhappy as we like but lets try to keep our criticism grounded in reality.
So I am an advocate for some tuning to challenges but your issue with Infernals is not something that will be solved by anything other than yourself. If you get hit by the infernals its purely your own fault regardless of how many you have up. Now maybe nerfing the adds a bit or reducing Kruul health a little but infernals are just as annoying as they were in Legion and any gear you get won’t ever change dying to an infernal.
