The overwhelming response to these threads are generally

No

Personally I was unsubbed when it all went down.

You win some, you lose some

I feel slightly more deprived on missing out on the class sets in MoP.

As for the Mage Tower, the only one I really regret is not getting the feral druid one.

I just did that and this thread came up. Guess I’ll just let people share their perspectives with me in real time

alright enjoy the inevitable dumpster fire this bait will bring

The only thing that’ll cause a dumpster fire here is your pessimism. I appreciate your insight nonetheless, however limited it was.

They’re pretty rad. I wish I’d earned more of them. But at least I got the flails and werebear.

My personal thought, I’m not bothered if they bring them back or not, but personally I’d love to see some sort of Shadowlands equivalent with its own unique set of appearances, I feel like every expansion should have its own “Mage Tower-esque” type of event during the last patch of the expansion.

bring em back! they were single handedly the best warglaive mog appearances blizzard ever released

Looked ok, was a decent challenge.

Sucked that they removed them and then later removed the spec restrictions as some people such as myself may have farmed them with this knowledge (I hate unholy dk but the tower artifact was amazing and is easily my favorite sword in the game.)

I’d love to see it return were chromie returns you in time were your character is exactly what people had back then (old talents, rotations, legion artifacts, can grind conduits, tier gear, and ilvl.) This preserves the challenge, gives people something to do, and helps people who have different mains now then they did in legion (because devs can’t help but screw classes over and balance them by rotating fotm.)

They are great, but the WGoA might always be the goat glaives for me. Most of the Legion glaives were petty fire tbh. BFA lost me a bit though.

that’s fair, they’re just so normalised these days, i see em on everybody’s backs lol, i’m glad that sanctum of domination is bringing us some cool warglaives though, BFA didn’t offer anything impressive except the edge of madness imo

My thoughts are…gosh, its been at least a day or so since the terrible words Mage Tower appeared in the title of any topic…

They are a thing that exists.

I got them on multiple classes and specs, none of which I really play anymore.

C’est la vie

The overwhelming times these threads are made say

Yes.

My thoughts are they’re not coming back and I’m fine with that.

People are going to whine about “FOMO” but WoW has done this since, what, 2005? Whenever it was they removed the original epic mounts. Anyways, so not only did people know this was going to happen from history but they knew it was happening because Blizzard told them.

The Mage Tower was a challenge to beat with the current legendary armor, artifact weapons, consumables, talents, spells and classes available at the time. All the fights were tuned with those things in mind. The stuff I just listed is either deactivated or changed so the challenge is gone. People like to say “scale it down like in Timewalking!” but your level was just a number and had nothing to do with the fight.

no because no challenge from the past has ever returned.

with 5 posts I’m more inclined to think you’re one of those alts that already know the answer for this.
