Mage tier 1 in TWW looks like a bfa questing set

the shoulders and the helmet are okay, but the rest just seems… flat

what you do guys think?

Agreed, looks like dog%#^*

Hmmm, looks like a mix match of pieces we already have. Should could be interesting, but the rest is “meh.”

I like it. It’s only the third ever mage tier set that’s Kirin Tor or Dalaran themed (the first two being Ulduar and Antorus). They’re also clearly going for a middle eastern ensemble which is the overall theme they picked for Dalaran as a whole after it was revamped in Legion. The entire Chamber of the Guardian (the central tower that was introduced in Legion) was clearly the inspiration for it, which makes a lot of sense considering that the entire expansion opens with it’s destruction.

I especially like the shoulders and the belt which is a nice change of pace because those are usually the worst designed pieces. The helm is a little on the nose but it works. The one part I am not a fan of are the boots. They look way too bulky and blend with the pants in a weird way. They need to have that distinctive oriental upwards curve of the toe box.

I think it’s a take on the Ulduar mage set.

Atleast its not so ugly like the last tier set @amirdrassil.

But ya…a bit boring  could be more +magical+ and beautiful.

I vote we just bring back s3 again for a third time . I like this set although I do like long robes more

my biggest issue is with the chest and legs, leaving a lot to be desired

Personally I think it’s kinda nice, I could see myself using certain components to match with other sets. Shoulders/belt specifically I like quite a bit

No thank you.
I hate the S3 mage set totally! ;(

Evil enough that atm all you can +viable+ play is the stupid glacial.

On Topic:

I think its…uhm well…OKAY? A bit boring and i don t like the helm.

thats my point, it has good parts, but it falls short in its completeness. It should be a good set by itself, not to be picked apart for custom sets only.

How often do people use a set in its entirety for mog anyway though? it’s more common to piece together sets

i really like it

I love it a lot. I’m going to be going for several colors of it for different specs.

For people complaining, could be worse. Go look at the DK set, they made DK into a chandelier in TWW S1. :dracthyr_crylaugh:

Seems boring but I’ll just be using the same mog I have now. I don’t know why but I love my mog.

On the contrary, I think the opposite is true. The game is very limiting when it comes to outfit customization because there is no dye system in place (which is totally intentional) and matching pieces from different sets is very difficult if not impossible. There are some diehard mogers who believe that mixing and matching different pieces is an expression of skill but they’re by and large the minority. Most people just want a hassle free way to have a well coordinated outfit precisely because they don’t want their gear to be mismatched. And then there is probably an even bigger group of players that don’t even bother with transmoging at all.

Speaking for myself, I am a perfectionist and my OCD just drives me crazy if I there is a piece that doesn’t match. That’s why I almost always only use complete sets.

Perhaps I’m seeing the game through a specific lens, on Moon Guard I think the vast majority fall into the “die-hard mogger” mindset you described and I can’t think of the last time I’ve seen someone not utilizing mog at all.

I think it looks kind of nice.

Fourth, actually. The Hellfire Peninsula set projects the Kirin Tor eye symbol around the forehead when wearing the headpiece.

Its ok imo, not the worst one.

But the Arathi world sets just look better than all those tier sets

Yeah, RP servers are definitely different in that regard, haha.
