Just noticed that when various “variants” type spells like the Mage Teleport/Port, and the Shaman Hex Variants are on Action Bar 6 - they expand vertically. They used to expand horizontally for me.
Action Bar 6 for me is Vertical, and this causes clipping of the spells (i.e. they go off-screen).
Action Bar 4 and 5 are messed up too.
Any abilities with “variant” extension selections put on them will only expand horizontally to the left. This happens regardless of whether the bar itself is vertical or horizontal, and the position of the bar on screen doesn’t matter.
Mage Portal and Teleport, Mage Polymorph selection, Shaman Hex selection, Hunter Call pet and Pet Utility selections, etc. Any skill or ability with a variant or multiple choice option will only expand to the left no matter where or how you align the action bars in question.
This means that if I put either action bar on the left side of my screen, the expanded variant selection list is off screen and you can’t actually pick anything.
Edit: It’s every action bar.
1-3 will only open vertically upwards regardless of bar orientation or position.
4 & 5 will only open Horizontally to the left regardless of bar orientation or position on screen
6-8 will only open vertically upwards regardless of bar orientation or position.
This isn’t surprising as, by default 1-3 and 6-8 are horizontal bars and 4-5 are vertical bars aligned to the right side of the screen.
But certainly they should be recognising their current orientation, not using the default.
The thing is, before 11.1 if you moved the bars to other sides or changed their vertical or horizontal alignment. the flyout menus opened in a logical dynamic direction based on where the bar was positioned in Edit mode.
11.1 just plain broke that functionality for some reason.
@Mookosh, I am experiencing the same issue in 11.1. I have to move my portal and teleport to a different action bar just to use them now.
Ya seeing this too. Unfortunately I have my portal spells on the bar I had moved to the left side of my screen. Thanks Blizz…
