Mage tears

Question for loot council guilds. Do you prio neltherions tear to warlocks or mages?

I love farming on my mage but never reach 30 resets a day. With that said, the tear should go to locks first.

Locks… Then Mages.

I have to go with locks here. Mages get 6% from talents and 2% from ZG enchants that locks just don’t get.

locks > mages, but exceptional mages are getting every 3rd or 4th ones. We’ve only had 3 drop though so…

I honestly don’t think it will matter, much. Overall raid dps probably stays about the same regardless of who you give it to first. That said, I’m a Warlock, so give it to me first. Also, I’ll happily duel for it. 2 mages vs me to decide which class gets it first. I’m not in a Loot Council guild though.

(not a LC guild, just here because I can)

mages get a sick trinket off Vael that is class-restricted and BIS. locks should have first take at the nef trinket.

MQG and Tear = BiS till Naxx

which trinket are you referring here?

Some people in my guild like to bring up aoe farming potential to loot decisions. Does mind quickening and tear affect these in any way?

LMAO! I thought this was going to be another thread about the new daily instance cap. :100:

MQG is utterly useless for AoE farming. Tear is alright for its SP contribution, but other than that has no real impact on AoE farming.

haha ya you will get it untill I offer you more gold than you have ever seen in your life for it.

I have no idea what you are talking about :stuck_out_tongue:

It’s classic. Give it to the most deserving player. Stop pretending the game is too hard. It’s literally easier than LFR in retail.

In the world of raiding guilds with a lot of deserving players, you need to figure out the most appropriate one to give it to. Clearly you’ve never LC’d

Dunno, but I hear there’s plenty of mage tears available to farm since this afternoon.

Neltharion’s Tear is typically warlock prio.
If you’ve seen multiple and 2-3 have gone to locks, you may wish you give one to a mage (provided they’re good).

No. Spell Haste does not affect channeled spells until mid BC, so it has no effect on Blizzard. Spell Haste doesn’t touch the GCD either so it has no effect on Arcane Explosion. It’ll make Flamestrike cast faster but you’re not using that for AoE farming.
