Dragonflight has added new frost and blazing barrier spell animations for primalist npcs. BfA also introduced watery portals used by tidesages
Is there any chance we get them soon? Or is it another water elemental glyph that is the primal droplet from the isles?

I hate that Mage spells are outdated and subtle. I want more showy spells.

for lack of resources, just…make them bigger? Frostbolt looks so silly as this dinky little cone thing…and pyro should be way larger for its (theoretical) cast time
you know the worst part? Warlock got the Greater pyro animation in their PvE rotation before Fire mage did.
But yes, Frost barrier looks like 2005 garbage.
Glacial spike could take inspiration from the Icecrown cinemetic, perhaps?

I would support not only some spell animations updated, but also casting animation for some races updated as well. For example, Kul Tiran casting animations…
While at that, please also make Mirror Images drop target (again), have weapon enchant visual and receive a visual copy of Mage’s applied shield (with minimal absorb value, so that they are not actually tankier than currently), so that they are an actual distraction for other players. Currently, finding the original Mage between them is super easy, as often it is the only copy with shield and weapon enchant and I think that should not be the case. This would make them more distractive, but as a defensive spell with 2 min CD, they should have appropriate power.

Mages will not be getting any spell updates, that is literally not even on the whiteboard at Blizzard HQ.
Blizz thinks they’ve done a fantastic job with Mage and no other game competes with there design.
What a fking joke.
