Hello everyone, when doing say gnomer boss fight, is it normal to run out of mana so quick as a mage? Am I suppose to down rank spells and use those the whole time? Or do I rely on mana gems and potions?
no idea bud…boomkins are back to being oomkins at 50 though…Blizz keeps changing crap that doesn’t need changed and ignoring big issues like mage mana, warrior tanking earlier on, potions stacking, ore, back spacing. Dual specing in a format of the game that wasn’t meant for it…Its like they’re building huge city buildings but not having the infrastructure for it. SoD after about the start of phase 2 has been a utter mess to me
its shocking to me there is no evocation rune to get the cd down to 2-3 mins instead of 8

At 40 mages used scorch as our main cast due to spell ranks and mana issues. Fireball was only used with combustion. The new meta at 50 is to use frostfire bolt with the frost talents to buff frost crit dmg as its half the mana as fireball and does more damage. Might mix in balefire bolt with it soon but it wasn’t procing ignites a couple days ago.
Anything in between using Max fireball ranks will oom you quick.
