Apparently there’s some special thing mages are supposed to do in eye of the storm solo rated Battlegrounds. Had a keyboard warrior spam the same “Go base, Go Base” for 10 mins straight. I wasn’t sure what he meant by that. There’s 4. They also told me that I should have been with the group? Which didn’t make much sense because most of them were fighting mid.
Anywho, I want to be sure I don’t drop the ball as I try to get my last mage tower appearance. I tried googling guides but I can’t get anything that seems mage specific role wise (I see PVP noob slaying vids).
I also don’t know the BGs by name, so if there is a particular content creator that will explain them each for mage that would be really helpful.
You have a couple of crazy good BG spells: Ring of Frost, Ring of Fire, Ice Wall…all do insane amounts of lifting, so maybe they meant to use those? Who knows man it’s a BG

Been playing mage for years and we use to have the shut up and sheep thing but now not so much shut up and Sheep… Things have changed… Until things change… I just try to stay with the group and not get caught alone…

Whoever wrote PvP guides seemingly gave up in like Shadowlands. It’s just Youtube videos at this point. But basically: use Alter Time, pray it doesn’t get dispelled, and only Ice Block if your healer is in a very bad space. We exist to Ice Wall off a healer and get a kill in that way.

As long as you’re NOT playing the redundant spec Blizzard doesn’t care about fire, then you should be good 
Frost tends to be the shoehorned PvP spec for mages though 
Arcane was good when it hit super hard but now it’s eh ~ still ‘decent’ but not in comparison to Frost.
