He is hiding in the frost talent tree, he is pretty lonely.

He is? o.O
Where?
I know he pops out when we use mirrors now but that’s about it. >.>
They pretty much said that they didn’t believe mages to be a pet class. Also saying that no one took the pet talents (when they never made them do competitive damage xd).
It’s kinda weird, but with talents like lonely winter being added it was only a question of time before being fully removed for me.
Wow, just wow. I don’t even know what to say.
Don’t know if that was meant to be ironic but familiars are pretty popular with Wizards.
Add to that water elementals are one of the oldschool designs and kinda the peak of mastery of a frost mage. Seems a bit sad to see them relegating them to be less present. But I get it pets in wow aren’t really easy to control for beginners and many people just don’t like any type of pets.

I agree, mage’s pet is fundamental part of their class identity but I don’t about using new players as a scapegoat for blizzard’s bad actions.

Well, they already used pvp’ers as a scapegoat.

no it’s not. No one have used it for a decade, it’s terrible talent and mage is not a pet class to have permanent pet being strong.
It’s better now being big CD, same as shaman cd elem
No one seem to be asking for Rune of Power to return, even though it was also part of mage “identity” for ten years.
I hate to burst your magically animated water bubble but…
I said fundamental not essential. I respect your “akshuallly” perspective but that’s like, you know, your opinion, man.
it was temporary summon in WC3. It was temporary when it returned in TBC and Wrath
It is now more in line with “fundamental” part

Jesus! They never had it permanently in their kit?! Wow, I stand corrected. Don’t mind me.
it was made permanent in Cata and Lonely Winter was added in Legion. So it was permanent for 3 expansions and then was gone for three expansion (it was viable at some point with some borrowed power or something, i don’t remember)

It was a 45 sec CD.
But it’s been permanent for 13 years (but most have taken Lonely Winter for the last like 5-6). Time flies by.
