How amazing would it be if Mages were offered a questline to learn about the arcana missing from the dungeon/raid meeting stone?!
It could be a questline to learn their function, why they don’t work, and temporarily tap into their magic to portal to them.
Then, next phase, blizz would make is so that there would be a realm-wide quest to rebuild their function, and then everyone could use them. While still giving mages the ability to portal as an extra goodie.
I feel like this would be well received as it would function as a QoL improvement, and also tap into what made the Ahn’Qiraj experience fun and involving.
Start running to the dungeon when you join the group. If everyone does that, you’ll all roughly arrive at the same time.
Have warlock friends, or warlock alts.
I could see a concept where only mages could activate a meeting stone, as a unqiue class perk, but that wouldn’t really satisfy the desire for rapid high speed movement.
If you really want transport QoL, then allow people to build a group and say “Teleport us all inside the dungeon” and when they leave, they’re back where they left from. But that’s not what Classic is about.
Haha, to be fair, I should have expected the responses here. You guys are right, the spirit of WoW classic IS to gather and venture forth. It is just a little tiresome for people with limited time to spend 1/3 of the night trying to get a group and meet up at the dungeon to begin with. Again though, that IS the charm with WoW classic.
