So I’m just curious about the best spec to level a Mage? I really, really want to go Arcane, and I hope Arcane is competitive at level 120 as well.
I don’t like Frost, it feels weak and kills slow.
I can get really into Fire if need be, but please tell me Arcane is good. lol
All three specs have their use at Level 120. Re: leveling, I would simply choose a spec that you enjoy leveling. There are no major disadvantages to each of the specs. Fire is extremely mobile, but so is Arcane in AoE situations. (Arcane is also a bit more tanky with its shielding and utility.)
For current end-game, the meta is that all three specs can push the high end of DPS meters.
