Hello. Just a simple, not complainy post. Anyone know of, or have a good list, of specific equipment I should look for while leveling as a mage? Such as Crescent Staff, the BFD quest wand, SFK robe, etc. Seems like all I can find is wands specifically. Thanks!

Yeah the Dagger from SM GY and OH from Lib went with me all the way to 60.
Same for the Icefury Wand from the Mage quest.
I’ve seen mages and warlocks in MC and bwl raids with that dagger still lol.

haha I was one of them.
Had it for several weeks raiding when I finally got a Witchblade, which is such a minimal upgrade and just finally got a Staff of Dominance like 3 weeks ago lol.

Personally i found the best leveling gear to be greens with pure damage on them. That is, unless you’re planning to AOE grind with blizzard.
Pure damage + loading up on consumables like spirit food & spirit scrolls. Kill things fast, worry about the mana later.
Snag yourself a ZG buff too before heading out, thats a pretty amazing buff for leveling now. Or just set your hearth to BB, wait till you see someone’s addon announcing the buff, hearth and head back out.
SP items are the best but they’re usually stupidly overpriced to rip people off. Don’t overpay for items you don’t need. Eagle items are standard for the STA/INT but spirit is also useful to reduce your downtime. Your own water has a crap rank half the time, so if you don’t boost spirit, you’ll be waiting painfully long times to juice back up.
I replaced this with the Infernal Orb, mage quest reward around level 40. It’s quite nice.

The easy answer is “whatever you can make from tailoring.” And if a better item drops from a dungeon, slap it on instead.
Any green with the eagle suffix is all you need
