Mage Helm runes are a joke

Are the values on some of these mage helm runes correct? Temporal Anomaly 125 HP shield? Really? This should be double at least. Deep Freeze? Useless in PVE as nobody plays frost in PVE. The blink rune also basically usesless in PVE.

Mages got the 2 most OP PVP runes this phase and you’re complaining

not everyone plays wow for pvp.

sometimes a rune will obviously benefit pve or pvp more. We really needed some pvp help and we got it. AND if people want to explore frost in pve they made deep freeze do some dmg in that regard as well.

You arent wrong my big gripe is Temporal Anomaly is an absolute joke though

fair enough then if thats the concern. maybe it will need a boost… i haven’t gotten it yet. The phrasing to me suggests you can move forward with it and get benefits more than once but idk

anytime I want to feel for another class I remember I got a rune worth less than one talent point

Temporal Anomaly can apply its shield up to 8 times on each party member. That said:

  • It only works on party members (unless the tooltip is lying).
  • It only works if the party is clumped (it has a 10 yard radius).
  • You need to be in the clump (it starts directly in front of you and crawls forward).
  • It doesn’t scale with +spell damage/healing.
  • The shield doesn’t stack (it’ll refresh to the full value, but multiple applications don’t build up).

So it hypothetically is good when there’s going to be ongoing group damage/DoTs, but then again Mass Regeneration also handles that really well with far fewer restrictions. It may cost 4x that of Temporal Anomaly, but that’s entirely worthwhile when you need to be able to heal any of the 4 parties in your 20-man raid from wherever you happen to be.

Holy Paladins didnt get a wrist rune at all. No new heals in ALL OF SOD.

Shield just needs to scale with SP and it would be fine.
