Mage feels really bad

I love playing mage, I’ve played it since I started playing classic 4-5 years ago.

But now It feels like almost every design choice is made to punish mages and take away any real identity they have, with ffb it takes 4 seconds for the cast to land so often I target a mob at 50-60 percent health half the time it’s dead by the time it lands in a dungeon, if I cast living bomb on a few mobs 90 percent of the time the mobs die before it explodes so all I can really do is ffb mobs on repeat and fizzle into they abyss half the time.
Even if a pack would survive long enough for living bomb to go off it’s a massive DPS loss by even using it because of the ridiculous mana cost, 3 living bombs a CoC and blast wave costs around 2.5k mana, that’s half my mana on a pack of 6 mobs that’s about 14k damage over 12 seconds, then throw a couple other spells and after one pack I’m 30-40 percent mana with about 1-1.2k DPS which is generally lower aoe than most other classes at the moment, but then you add in that I need to spend 30 seconds drinking after every single pack and my DPS is abysmal.

Single target damage is great, especially with flame blast being off gcd and always criting but that’s where it ends it’s all I can do, just ffb on repeat with fire last and pyro.

I think this could be fixed incredibly easily,
change living bomb to explode on mob death just like seed of corruption would.
Change mage water to give at least double the current mana, no other class has to spend a quarter of the time drinking currently.
Allow mages to drink in combat for a reduced amount, when they haven’t taken damage in the last 5 seconds.

These changes would help alleviate a mage feeling like an outcast, literally having to skip packs to sit and drink while every single other class pushes ahead.

Try being a warrior and your MS hits for half what a hunter trap dmg from 35 yard range can do LOL.

yeah hunters seem pretty unfair at the moment with no real weaknesses, at least a warrior can zugzug

Mage, Lock, War and especially SPs are horrendously terrible atm.

This is after they had a PTR for 3 weeks+.

I have no words … besides watching less and less guildies come online everyday. The phase is so dead before it could even get to experience the new MC.
