Overall, its decent. We’ll see how this plays out. I like all Mage specs so this was a nice surprise.
Glacial Spike comeback? Maybe?
GS scaling is still horrible
wont fix 3 mile wide puddles of fire that last for 6 years spawning right ontop of my rune of power 0.0000001 second after i cast it half the time

For Frost they should also change [Snowstorm] to not only stack faster but also for the stacks not to fall off even though the spell itself and its buff don’t state anywhere that it has a duration but it has a 30s hidden expiration date. It’d also be good if they reverted the nerf to [Frozen Orb] and buffed [Blizzard] a bit because although these buffs will definitely help a bit, our AoE damage is still lacking.
I must admit I’m very happy that they are reverting the [Splitting Ice] nerf now, finally. We’ll see if these will be enough coming next Tuesday but I think both Fire and Frost will still lag behind. I’ll be glad if I’m wrong though.

They just dont understand the spec that is 50% behind other specs is not improved by a 15% buff to half their toolkit.
Math am I right?
This is my exact sentiment. If ignite is 30-50% of our damage on any given pull, buffing that by only 5% is not going to be nearly enough. Without having done the math yet, I’m guessing this will be an 8-10% overall buff…which is not nearly enough when Arcane is easily doing 50% more.
will fire ever be good in pvp this expac>??
The buff to [Pyroblast] and [Fire Blast] also convert to [Ignite] so it’s better than 5% but most likely still not enough.
It definitely won’t be. As I said before, likely will result in an 8-10% overall increase in damage.
Well, in PVP mage can barely cast now in any 3v3. So damage increase will barely help
I hate RoP as well but while we have it, it is mind boggling that Rune sits on top of all the bad floor effects. So much is so small it gets completely covered by Rune and makes it very hard to see it. RoP needs to be the least priority of ground effects, all the bad ones should cover it.
Can we all stop being dramatic now? Told you so…
Spike has been aswesome… ive seen 240k in soloS.
Must of been crappy players for that mage to be able to cast it.
Nice! If this is real, this is awesome.
