Anyone else tired of constantly seeing the lfg channel spammed with people looking for mage carries?

I purpose that each server starts a channel for those looking to give and those looking to receive carries.

Same. Its mostly due to how op and braindead mages are. Best cc in the game. Best farming potential in the game. All they do is spam frostbolt in raidsā¦
Please try to remember that not ALL people who play Mages are d-bags. I have NEVER AoE farmed (not even talented for it) and I have NEVER tried to sell myself like a street-corner worker for carries. Would I help out some guildies or a person who wanted me to assist them through a low-level dungeon? Of course I would, but I would never charge for it.
Are there more d-bag Mage players this time around than originally in Vanilla? Yeah, I think so. But that is just from my observations. I personally blame all the YouTube and Twitch content creators who have shown people just how to be the ābestā d-bag Mages they can be. After all, sheeple will be sheeple. 
On topic I do agree that Mage carries should be sold in either the Trade channel or another dedicated channel. Maybe they could make a āMage-pimpingā channel for these types of adverts.

While this would be a good idea in theory, I would expect that players would just hijack the channel the same way that they hijacked the /world player made channel (at least on my server). Once one of the players looking to sabotage got owner or mod privileges, they would kick and ban everyone and nobody would be able to use the channel until next server reset or that person logged out and a new owner unbanned them. It would have to be a Blizzard made official public channel to really work.

why do people constantly whine? you dont have to use a carry service, but plenty are happy to. got all my mara quests done for 10g, took less than an hour, was extremely happy with that.
I just reckon we all need to stand up and get these money hungry mages to reduce their prices, 9/10g for an SM run is just outrageous!

But they are groups a group is more then 1 person, a mage carrying even just 1 lowbie is still by definition ā¦A GROUP.
its not 9/10g for an SM run its 9/10g for an cathedral and armory run in one price hes doing two dungeons 10 per lockout
I once saw a lvl 49 fire mage killing mobs in open world with fire. Almost wanted to friend them. Iāve held off lvling my mage bc im just disgusted with the class, but I think ill follow suit and level as fire too. that fire mage was probably disgusted at the ez mode of frost.
I was always partial to Arcane spec & Arcane Missiles (love channeling spells for some reason) as primary DPS, even if it isnāt optimal from a min-max perspective. Shame that some players will ridicule you for playing something that you find more fun to play in a game, even if it isnāt āBiSā.
I absolutely love mage carries. Itās the best use of my gold. In fact, had I not already bought a mount, Iād consider mage carries to still take priority over a mount even.
The quest hubs in vanilla are trash compared to later on like in TBC and Wraith, the exp from bgās is trash via turning in marks, and good luck finding a dungeon on most servers, and even then, itās still far less exp than just buying boosts.
My go to strat so far is to gind and play the AH, and when I can afford it, buy more runs. Makes the leveling process slightly less aids.
How dare someone use a āforumā for discussion. The suggestion was to make a channel specifically for these types of groupsā¦ which really is not a bad idea to bring to a forum to begin with. Get a clue.
If I became so bored with the game that I decided to start playing content that is so easy for me for in game gold, Iād quit and play a real video game.
But thatās just me.
Tbh it would make more sense for the carry spam to be in trade rather than LFG since you are trading xp for gold.
